here at sysco central pa. [harrisburg pa.] we filed to be represented by the teamsters 77 cards signed out of 114 drivers election on dec.9

Awesome news! Lot of work but it's worth it.
Having gone through an election at Sysco just a year ago:
1) Keep talking to everybody. Job #1 for Sysco over the next week will be to either charm or scare the hell out of enough of the 77 card signers to win. Think "divide and conquer", if they can get you all fighting amongst yourselves they'll be able to pick you off one at a time.
2) Document everything they say to you in meetings and save all of the letters they're going to mail to your house to "inform" you of why you should vote no. It's you vs an army of attorneys, if they break the law to win you can't fight back without proof.
"Win now, pay the fines later" seems to be how they operate pre election and they seem to be getting more aggressive at each house that falls.
3) They've made "a list" of where they think each of you stand. Here the forced meetings were in small groups based on that list with the troublemakers all together. You need to try to find out what was said in those meetings as the dialogue will be tailored to each group and you need to counter their BS with your message. It's a propaganda war and they can't have the last word or that's what'll be in people's heads as they go to sleep the night before the election.
4) Try not to get too frustrated with the guys who seem to be falling for the company's sales pitch. Most are just scared, keep reminding them of why you need a union. A couple of our biggest critics here have become supporters in the last year, one to the point of apologizing for things he said during the campaign. Water under the bridge, after you win you'll have to hug it out in order to move forward because they'll want to keep you guys fighting as you work on your first contract.

Good luck. Every new location under contract makes all of us stronger.

Lazio our election is the 16th I was wrong on the date we will find out by Jan 4 or 5 the results u were absolutely right on everything wish us luck it was a fight

we lost our election 55 to 54 had over 80 cards signed bunch of guys were swayed by syscos sales pitch come to find out there were company men on the comitee at least 4 comitee members voted no they were seen on social media with vote no shirts on i personaly think they will come to regret it in the future. i guess there is always next time thanks to all who fought for us

30 votes from the signed cards is a hell of a swing. Has your local said anything about being able to file charges or objections?

Either way, hold your head high. You guys had the balls to stand up for yourselves which is more than most people can say. 1/2 want a union, when they go back on their promises hopefully the other side will come around. Disappointing to hear that committee members were playing both sides, watch as soon as the heat's off they'll be the first thrown under the bus. Even though they took the company side in the end Sysco knows they were involved with pushing the union in the beginning and judging by the way your President acted in the video when given the petition he doesn't seem above punishing people who cost him money.
