Hello phone company I'll pay my bill tomorrow wait and see. Hello bank I'll pay my mortgage tomorrow wait and see. If you want to be ignorant to facts then by all means have fun but don't give others false hope
That's why you don't see any post giving a time frame if or when they are going to pay up because every promise they made before was a lie !

Well, hells bells we got paid this morning! I have been paid for everything I worked New Years week. However, I didn't get holiday pay and I am still owed 2 $500 safety bonuses. Hopefully lax will survive and the rest of the guys will get back to work. We do not have so many good paying options in Maine by the way. I feel bad for the Jersey people.

Syracuse Land Air Express is running using their box trucks saw they today out there. I wish the employees well and hope for a better outcome for them .
Payroll was met my friend told me no holiday pay but that was to be expected must work day before holiday day after holiday. He is happy to have the check. I bet most are even still final check unemployment helps. Best of luck to all Drivers

So now that the 2015 fiscal year is closed out , the big question is since everybody is working this week , let's see if we get paid for next week or is something going to come up.

that will depend on the "emergency financing". and you should absolutely get holiday pay, you worked the first day before and after the holiday that you were able to work. its not your problem if they didnt schedule you until a later date.

btw, don't forget, those NJ guys are owed 60 days of pay because of a shutdown without notice. not to mention everyone who will be laid off at every terminal remaining, since they only need a 5 man crew at most barns because of all that freight that they DON'T have.

Wrong. They would be exempt because the closing was neither planned nor foreseeable 60 days prior.

bs. they KNEW about their rating, it was unsatisfactory, they HAD time to fix it, and did nothing. everyone in NJ is owed warn act money. just think of the jobs they could have saved if they would have been responsible enough to fix the problems before the last minute bandaid that they cooked up? now they get to pay the warn money.

Don't like it? why don't you chip in some money for spencer, see if he uses it to pay the employees that are still owed wages, vacation, warn act money, and safety bonuses for two years.

Don't think that's totally fair to say. Sure there are alot of devoted employees who gave company their all to company, and unfortunately are out of work. Also just because someone who is not working without pay, that doesn't ms u then unloyal. Come on, have to be fair. Can't blame people for not working, find it more odd people (really one person) being so extremely pro Land Air. I'm all for seeing company regain operations. People are bothered by simple fact of money, or lack there of. Whether or not people are working, can't call that devoted. Just as easy to say the working are desperate . We will see in due time about workers
well noworkanomo...I got paid for one day....that's it...no holiday pay nor my 2 safety bonuses I was owed....just OFFICIALY informed me im laid off....me and couple other guys w seniority were not called back....they knew what we were going to have to say and do.

I don't mean to but in since I don't work for LAX. You may not be right about NJ WARN law. Back in 2004 when my company closed in Newark only terminals with 50 or more employees were eligible to file a claim under WARN. I think NJ has since wrote it's own WARN law that requires 100 employees in order to qualify for WARN. Don't take my word for it but check it out before thinking you'll easily get 60 days pay.

I thought it was 60 employee's till I read your post. I did Google it, and on the NJ Labor site it says - IF you are a employer with 100 or more employees, you may be required to comply with the WARN notification laws. Just Google - NJ Warn act requirements.

But is that number per facility or company wide? Shutting 2 buildings with less then the amount will it still qualify especially since the company hasn't shut down

@Unforgiven , sorry to hear. I'm in same boat. Paid, but not all what is owed. This whole situation should have been avoided. It's unfortunate that so many of us are out of work bc of just a few people in charge of dealing with these issues. Best of luck to all who got screwed.

Talked to a couple drivers back to work...on an on-call basis...they don't know whether to sleep or not sleep... whole thing is mind boggling...just read an article in trucking boards saying LAX main concern is not even financing but regaining customers most of which were already picked up by other new England carriers...naturally.
