Anyone in the ODFL able to answer how these have effected you and or your pay in the right to work states? And states where prevailing wage not in effect? How will this effect us if either/both get passed in states where its up for a vote on?

It probably doesn't have much effect on our wages.Firstly,Line haul pays same wage rate nationwide, our competition probably have more to determine what OD pays than any other factor. Hourly its a little different ,the hourly pay is a little higher at my service center than the center 130 miles north of here,I'd imagine that would be a local market thing.

There is a north and south pay scale for city and LH. North pays more than the south, as it should since them southern boys don't deal with snow and ice!

Yeap you can have extra pay for snow and ice driver....Thursday in Indiana I do think.

:tr10driving03:OD extra pay for snow & ice in your dreams. With OD, if you end up like that picture:busted:you may not have a job. So be careful this winter out on the highways:shift:.

Sorry, LH mileage pay is not the same across the OD land. Maybe break down pay is,not sure.

Prevailing wage is for contractors fulfilling government contracts,as far as I know it has nothing to do with the rest of us.

Wages are higher up north because the Unions are strong. It's lower in the south because they don't feel you're a threat to organize. Insulting isn't it?
It's congestion pay for line haul drivers because generally you can't get the miles you can get in other regions, doesn't have anything to do with unions..Has hell of a lot more to do with getting drivers from the South and the Midwest to run past Harrisburg..If your going to troll our forum at least know what your talking about.

:notworthy::notworthy::notworthy: To the Union.....lol not really insulting to me. I can handle my business,do not really need someone to handle it for me. Treated fair for a good wage. Please do not come back with the "but your insurance (ALOT OF PEOPLE HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR HEALTH INSURANCE) and the no O.T. That's all.

You keep believing that and they'll keep paying you less to do the same job. :2437:
