I believe he's talking about UPSF. I believe they have two plans to chose from. One is 100% paid, the other is not, but offers lower deductibles and out of pocket costs.

If that's the case, it's the first I've heard of it. I've seen some UPSF guys complaining about their insurance. Perhaps it's a regional thing?

I know UPSF is benching their drivers for non-union contractors and PTS, so their contract still isn't without flaws.

They complain about their insurance but would probably have a heart attack if it was anything like yours.
UPSF isnt benching their drivers. They are using contactors which grievences should be filed for. The extent of it im sure isnt as you would like or say.

Go have a look over on their forum. They can't grieve because they don't have protection language in their contract like YRC/ABF do. I wish I was making it up, but their biggest complaint over there is that fewer and fewer of them are working and they can't stop it.

Im not saying youre making it up. Im just saying the extent of it isnt like some would put it.
Im sure when the new contract gets negotiated they will put better language in it pertaining use of contractors.
I know a few UPSF guys and theyre working everyday. They do get angry when contractors are working and jr guys are sitting at home.

I love my wife and kids too. Our insurance certainly isn't top notch, but it's not horrible either. How about you get a job where the benefits suit you instead of pissing and moaning about how bad Fred treats you. YOU WORK FOR A TRUCKING COMPANY GENIUS. although you dream team types think you work for NASA and you are some kind of irreplaceable being that Fred can't live without and he should stoop down an kiss your ass and pay you 6 figures and give you 100% paid health insurance and a pension that would make bill Gates jealous... LOL. Fred could give you a million dollar bonus, free health insurance, and a double chocolate chip cookie for your birthday and you would still bitch about it. Some folks will never be satisfied no matter what the company does.

Hey, there's an idea! Mandatory double chocolate cookies for sitting through the morning meeting, along with a bottle of antibacterial soap and a glass of milk. Substitutes will be available for those with allergies, maybe a free coffee for the city drivers and an extra cookie for the road drivers going home.
 
You"ve never seen a cookie like a Carrol's Cookie. Let me tell you it's a meal in it's self. Had several in my day. Available around Chicago,and online as well...

I am a yrc employee in the western states and yes i have a 100% company paid 401k and a pension and yes if i crash my family will be taken care of

I think you may want to either prove your 401 company paid plan in the Western States or send me who I need to call to start drawing it please. As I must have been overlooked by the Great YRC Gods....!!

What I meant by 100% on the 401k1 plan is in lieu to the 25% not going to the Western States Pension so yes we get about 1.74 per hr into the 401 k meaning it's all 100% Yrc money and the pension plan is still there !! Just wating for retirement age
