XPO | Terminal Closing

I was wondering if anyone can explain to me how, closing XTO and XSB reships, is going to save the company money? Plus all the one day lanes were going to be losing.

OD is a smaller operation than XPO by all accounts, XPO is going thru a fat cutting trend that is so close to what I have saw in the past with other ltl companies, and its not over yet, more supervisors are next within 3 to 6 months, and office personal
OD was smaller than Con-way
Because just like everything else XPO has done thus far, they have totally botched the chain of communication flow.
No information breeds mis-information..
there was problems with getting Info at some terminals before XPO Bought us, but they are definitely keeping s tight lid on any info

You can tell the guys who work at bigger terminals. The ones who are understand XPO closing terminals ect. That or they're mgt.

I lost 20 some spots when they closed Lancaster, Lima, Mentor and Mansfield. We also lost Danville as a run.

I'll stand to lose 9 more with the closing of Hillsboro. And we are losing South Bend as a run.

While I understand it. And my situation is better then that of those that had their terminals closed. I am still frustrated by it.

Let's put that into perspective Highspeeds.

Freight will be coming to XCO from XHB. All of this freight is in the middle of nowhere. The drivers following the freight will be like kids in a candy store going from a terminal with 19 or so drivers to XCO that has that many guys times 10 maybe? They can use their seniority to run some really good paying linehaul runs , why drive an hour and a half to work to learn a new city route and make less money?

If you're in the city , I think you'll be just fine.

3 years at Con-way all I EVER did was go backward... Time to bolt...

I inserted XPO in the stock graph for obvious reasons.
If you mean stock and market capitalization , yeah.

As far as rankings by industry trade journals and what have you , XPO\CON-WAY is a much larger organization.

Does anyone know if you get to rebid when drivers come from closing terminal
No rebid for terminals affected by the closing. Start times will be made for drivers transferring in based on their company seniority. Sorry if that ain't what you want to hear but its the truth from the regional manager. No rebid is due to a vast majority of terminals receiving transfers. If they rebid it would create unnecessary cost and wasted labor in doing this. Suck it up buttercup it is what it is.
