Holland | Road Driver

Okay, Thanks!

I was just curious because I quit my other job to soon. I guess I'll have to play the waiting game.

Be patient, freight is picking up and they will be hiring very soon. City routes have been coming back stacked and packed! This one had 34 bills.

Its funny when I be in other barns and city man looks thru bills and say out loud with no care what will and will not get delivered or I'm not even gonna attempt to deliver this today messes up my nap time lmao

Most likely, HR told Raleigh you were good to go, Raleigh then told you a date, before checking with central dispatch. Communication between central and terminals isn't the greatest sometimes. Pack for 6 days, when you do go, regardless of what Raleigh tells you, and don't take a bunch of stuff to hook up in the truck cause, it probably wont be the one your assigned to, you'll most likely return in something different, or take a couple weeks to get an assigned truck.

I'm city, and I don't get too many naps. leave between 1130-noon, average between 8-10 stops, finish peddling around 3, then start racing to make pick-ups. get back to the barn around 6, work the dock til 9. and the 8-10 stops includes the job site deliveries, where an appt doesn't mean s#$%. sit for a half hour, try and get back on schedule etc,,, Just think, if the road and the city could ever understand both sides of the coin have their problems and just leave it at that. Ahh that'll never happen, Road makes it happen, city guys are all lazy f$%^'s

Dragging a piece of furniture to the back of the trailer in a residential area is not my idea of fun either. Also you will never make me believe we make money on these deliveries.
