Yellow | Pay at YRC

And that's my point the pay rate may be higher but you won't make as much at the end of the week.
Exactly but there's that group of nons that apparently like not doing as well as the union outfits . Whats not to understand if ya earn o/t you'll receive more . They don't get it . Instead they would rather argue that the unions are bad .

I agree with all you said but I would like to add something in case I missed something . True the none union companies mentioned in an earlier post mentioned pay better but by the time they take out all the deductions like health insurance (a lot more if you have children) 401's etc. and what ever they take home is less than YRC . Another thing some of the nons make the drivers pay for damages that may happen during a days work . Not to mention no O/T after 8 .

I Know that Estees makes the City Men BUY THEIR OWN HAND TRUCKS AND PALLET JACKS !!

First off we ain't going to combine :::shit:::! When central states fund was flushed with cash and that idea was entertained, they told the other funds to go pound sand! I'm in a fund that encompasses 5 states. Is it underfunded? Yes. But not as nearly as much as most others.
Remember, they never were goin to be able to touch a retired workers pension either, but they are as of July. Some politician and some teamster leadership can get together and screw-up your world in a minute. I'm waiting anxiously for my cut in July. I am blessed and have always lived below what I make so my wife and I are prepared. Many others aren't so lucky.

When comparing companies you have to remember some of these guys like Conway spend half their night breaking and building sets and loading and unloading freight and wheeling carts of freight you stack around the dock. You are not comparing equal jobs, a couple dollars an hour would not be enough for me to put up with that crap. How about having to slow way down on the interstate in your UPS freight truck because you are running too early for your window. How about getting your letter from Walmart because you were spotted with grease on your shirt. Pay is not the only thing to talk about when comparing trucking companies.

No you're not out of hours til 70 if your company recognizes a 70/8 HOS...
Our company for the city drivers used the 60 hr. rule . We tried the 70 hrs and we were out of hours by Thursday ,went back to 60 . If you carried the DOT meal card ya could work 22.5 o/t hrs a week and be legal at our terminal . Personally I liked the 36 hr reset . That meant when you started out on Monday morning ya didn't have to count back to last week and add and subtract those hours . Ya started out fresh for the week 0 hrs . Some of the guys didn't like it but it worked out for me .
