XPO | Trolls

Your retired and don't even drive anymore. Why are you here?
I like being amused by people who think a buyout is a good thing. Never has there been a better place to see and talk about that than here. Also didn't know there was a rule stating no retired personal allowed. There probably is on this site but I haven't seen it. Plus nothing better than to listen to truckers gripe about things they can't change. There is my answer, nothing earth-shattering but to the point.

That's not what I asked - This was a buyout. Was Overnite better after the buyout?
If they were , and are better after the buyout , then a buyout can be a good thing.
Non Union to Union every contract for ups freight seems to going well according to the drivers I speak to. But the # 1 thing they have going for them is job security, they know they will retire from that company....

All well and good if you can work a year or two part time. The same could be said for Conway. Against a buddy's advise, I applied at Conway (before XPO). Offered the job by HR at conclusion of interview. Then, thankfully, the TM went out of his way to emphasize in no way can they guarantee even 30 hrs/week. I said no thanks. Same reason my buddy left there after a year. How do companies expect to get GOOD help when they can't work you enough to live?

Really GO40? I've heard that there are only two certainties in life...death and income taxes.
