Yes. Same auto tag axle as the 16 series Freightliners
Why the hate for the automatics? Have you driven one?
I have a 15 series with an automatic, I wasn't happy about it at first, but now that I know how to use it I think it works great. It pulls better than the manual Freightliners (I know, thats not saying much)

: with any amount of weight. Backing up is a pain because you have no clutch to feather so you slam the dock hard. Same goes for hooking up. I'm sure they are decent on the road where all you do is set the cruise but they suck in the city.freight jockey

WOW!! You're the only one I've heard that can "feather" one of these fine ceramic clutches in our Multiple Owner, Fleet maintained, High Performance, Multi-colored equipment!! Now, Ladies and Gentlemen, that's a hell of a feat! PS: Road units are for the ROAD, not the city, that's why you have those fine pieces of equipment sitting around your yard, because you city guys would prefer to tear up a road unit. so we don't feel left out. EVERYTIME my assigned unit goes out in the city, it comes back with a new mark, never flippin fails!

It's been awhile since I have worked for Holland. ... but it is still sad to see the conflict between road and the city.
I can see the reasons for the arguments for both sides. ...but. ..they never got that they need each other to survive.

Yes, we do need each other. That is true. But when was the last time you heard a city driver bitch because a road drive scatched/damaged their assigned unit. Especially the open board drivers who roll in to a foreign barn. They send somebody out in his/her truck while they're in bed. That city driver doesn't give a damn about that truck because he'll have another one tomorrow. Aside from no fault accidents, I've never damaged my tractor, but city drivers, thats another story!
OMG , here we go again , like you line haul guys never ever put a mark on it ?? and one thing to remember is that they are company trucks NOT Owner operator trucks !! look at the state Reg. slip & see whose name is on it ?? and remember to city guys know where the rev gear is and go into alley's and small paring lots and crappy docks and we hook & drop & back into the terminal docks , so here's a idea Quit & go BUY your OWN truck so nobody buy a prefect driver like you drives it !!
