They are basically using the contractors over ratios to off-set what they pay the unionized road drivers. Old company tactics the teamsters let UPS manipulate time and again. I feel sorry for the new hires and low seniority drivers this affects. It was almost a financial death march for me to get where I am today with UPSF. Pays off if you can get thru it and most aren't willing. I understand as I woundn't have stayed if they were hiring like now. How many grievances are being filed daily on subcontractors/runaround?Our BA is a worthless POS. Hopefully guys are tired of getting runs cut and will vote accordingly in the next election.
Grievances were filed on the previous and present contract. Violations still happen, grievances still filed and nothing corrected. That would have to be negogiated AND voted on by the members....KKSo my manager accidentally leaked that he got an email saying that upsf is experimenting with the road drivers using strictly ata. Which he said ata is the clock system, which we already use to arrive/depart, punch in and out. So since we already use the system for that....what exactly are they "testing"?! He thinks its for linehaul to go hourly instead of mileage, like feeders. Anyone one hear anything out there?
