I am new to these boards but, all I am seeing is people try and belittle one another and make things as negative as they can. I have worked for Central Transport for a short while now and do not have any complaints I did not see while working for Holland and other carriers. My pay is higher or equivalent to every other carrier I see, I am able to work 50 to 60 hours a week, I am home daily, the insurance is good, I have a 2017 truck, and I have met some of the best employees I have ever worked while here. Things are changing here at CT and I think a lot of you people throwing slander at us will be looking to us for jobs in the future and we will welcome you despite your previous beliefs. Be safe out there guys!

I can insure you the insurance is a joke hope you don't every need it they don't pay nothing

I've worked at Central for four years and have had great experiences with the insurance. The preventative plan has done my family well. I have paid zero dollars out of pocket for all of my son's well baby exams and annual exams the rest of the family. The insurance even has a website where you can pull locations that accept the coverage by zip code. When my son was born we jumped on and found like 13 pediatricians within 20 miles of my home that accepted Cherokee.

Keep preaching Mark S. I love my new Pete. We'll welcome these guys with open arms when they want to join the Central family!

Did you Kool-aid guzzlers ever stop to think that maybe the reason that they are making all these changes is because it finally got to the point that they couldn't find drivers anymore? After you've dicked people over for so long, eventually you're going to run out of people to screw. Do you really think that old bastard is raising wages and buying new trucks because he cares about his workforce?

And if you guys think that all the other trucking companies are going to shut down and we're all going to be begging for a job at CT, I think you might want to have the doctor up the dosage on your meds. I'm happy that things are getting better over there, but you have to realize that CT's horrible reputation has been well earned over the years. Sad that it took this long for them to actually do something about it.

Just like you said piston he done it for his advantage not for his drivers and they can talk about how great ct is but I think there being brainwashed by a new truck or there management pretending to be drivers his csa sores was in the red I would say the federal government treated to shut the doors on them for that scrap they were on the roads with

Unfortunately I was at the circus for about 3 months when they took vitran over had a good terminal manager who tried his best to get equipment fix but Michigan wouldn't go for it every negative thing said about ct is the truth but there changing new trucks more money they deserve it

diarrhea
Flaming liquid ::shit:: that makes you scream with pain, clench your teeth, grab hard onto the nearest solid object so that you don't get blown away, and wonder how you're still alive when it's over.
My diarrhea is so bad that I couldn't walk for five days afterwards

Have you ever had Cherokee insurance yourself? Or are you just making this claim because other people did? I just had my first kid and the plan paid just as much as my buddy over at Holland in the same situation (first kid.) I made sure the doctor we used was in network which was easy to do and the hospital went and switched up doctors on us three times by the time the kid came out. Cherokee paid the same on the other doctors when they weren't in network and everything after the birth has been paid for 100% so no complaints here.

SO if things are better now at CT it's got to be OK for me to come on here and talk the company up right? The terminal I drive for needs drivers and I want to help get more drivers hired so I can work less hours. were swamped and need some new guys to come work with us thats why im on here talkin up the company guys

of course new trucks benefit the owner when it helps them get new drivers hired but it also benefits the guys that come work here and drive new trucks and have plenty of work to do and home everyday

brainwashed by a new truck eh...if having to hop in a nice new truck with AC and good radio every night is brainwashed then I guess im guilty of that. In the past we had some old units just like everybody else has and they had there issues but if something wasn't legal it was up to me as a driver to write it up and take a differnt truck...not always the owners fault drivers play a part in keeping equipment legal to

I hope it's really gotten better. It was awful when I worked there 6 years ago. My 590 mile laydown run paid $180 a night on the flat rate deal. That works out to about 30.5 cents per mile if hooking / breaking a set was free. My run laid over in Houston twice a week in a sleeper. The AC quit working and I was told to deal with it.

I couldn't find anyone to take the insurance back then, but maybe they've worked on their network and people are willing to take it now.

I never had a real problem with management. My truck was usually ok. I wasn't mad when I left, it was just time. I got a 15 cent per mile raise the day I started my new job. As of now, I've doubled my rate from when I worked at Central.

If it's really gotten better, I'm happy for everyone who works there now.

I'm stupid and I have my hip waders on, feed me some more.

say what you want. I make good money, my bills are paid and my family is taken care of. the new Petes just keep rolling in too!
