This is all true. Corporate came down to investigate and dumb dumb had some of the weapons he was selling in the company car......lmao the people they put in management. Not sure bout the moonshine:guinesssmilie:

that is y we all can't understand why this lead dock loser is still here, he was way worse then all 3 that got boot to ass
The way XPO Logistics\Con-way is set up you shouldn't waste your energy being mad at the other driver - He is only doing what management allows him to get away with.

If you were allowed to work in the "lead" position , would you?

This is a large company , we all have seen nonsense take place. If you're smart in how you handle it you can make your life easier.
 
Was checking to see if this is normal. I have been with conway/XPO for 3 years now, and a guy at our barn is a DSR, but never drives a truck. No he's not injured. Guys that have been here for a long time say it has been going on for years. last manager made him a "lead dock guy" due to fact that they were in business together (moonshine and guns) well that manager, and a fos,and this DSR brother all got fired for this but this guy is still around and the new manager has let this continue. this DSR told a couple guys that he makes $70K for years now due to being "lead dock guy" comes in way early, works hourly wage 10-14 hours a day.I'm a proud african american man, who was never offered this job along with some others that are more qualified. so what gives, is this NORMAL?

Hell, we have DSR that think they can drive. We have so called drivers that won't go into place with anything bigger than a pup but yet all the other ltl go in with a 48' van

The other companies probably aren't such hard ass's on accidentally damaging equipment like XPO is. Never worked at a company that tried so hard to fire their much needed drivers like this one, just over minor stuff other companies wouldn't bat an eyelash at .

Does a 48 pay more? I have seen a lot of hero's filling out accident reports, if they don't feel comfortable don't do it. One of your drivers on thursday tried to beat the green arrow heading to your Wilkes Barre Pa. terminal rear pup ended up laying in the bank parking lot. I don't know how to post the link, it was The Times leader. com who had the pix....

Yes, it's normal. Lots of terminals have DSR lead men doing route planning and running dockstands for OB and FACs. It's been going on as long as I've been with them, and I've been here a lot longer than 3 years.

his real life BRO got fired for weapons charges and our TM and FOS got escorted off by the local popo for weapons charges,he all in it,just noone snitch him up
Well, if you knew that, why didn't YOU tell someone? Then he could have gotten fired, too- and your problem would be solved.
Regardless, the fact that those other people got themselves fired is irrelevant.

So are you mad because he can't do the job, or are you mad because he's making more money than you and you think he's not working hard enough for it?
If you don't think he can do the job, you're going to need more than, "he's not driving". Does the freight get delivered and picked up? Does IB and OB close on time? If so, it'll be hard to show that he's incompetent. (And really, your opinion doesn't matter anyway- but we're pretending that it does.)
If it's just because you think he's getting easy hours, then you're just going to have to get over it. People make the same gripe about driver trainers and driving school instructors. Someone has to do those jobs- and it's probably better that they aren't job selected.

I'd like to know what you think makes you and the others more qualified. Even if you are, does anyone know that you're interested in the job? Are you a positive employee on good terms with your managers? If all you ever do is whine about how lazy that guy is with his BS job, why would they think you want it? Because guess what, as soon as you take it, YOU get to be the lazy suckup that everyone talks s**t about. Oh, you won't care because you're making a pile of money? Neither does Dwayne.
 
We have 4 DSR's that have been here for 1-2 years that are not allowed to run night linehaul , they hold them to work the dock, cover overages and early P&D. when linehaul calls in the number of runs at night our FOS's tell linehaul we have more guys than we actually do on PTO so they divert the freight to another FAC ,
We've been bitching about this to our RM and Ann Arbor for 10 years but they won't do anything about it , it's really screwed up because if you want a PTO they say that they need you to cover the runs but the 4 guys are still working the dock when they could have had your run . our SC won't hire anyone to push those guys up so they are kind of stuck there then the morons wonder why new hires quit.

I'm not worried about you or this company I couldn't careless if you or this company go up in flames , I just wonder why you have no life that you come to our board and comment on stuff that doesn't concern you , I'll bet your neighbors just love you ! because I'll bet your nose is up their ass all the time .

Oh you mean I'm supposed to remember the 10+ times they have changed our safety policy , I do remember something along the lines that if it's on private property and the damages are under a certain amount there is no points given but I don't keep tabs on that per It doesn't concern me I've never been on P&D .
