Yellow | DOT blitz on YRC tires coming soon.

Then I would hope those types don't sit in the break room complaining about the crappy equipment, in their eyes, that they drive. But yes, you are correct.

Almost every day some road driver drags one in and says the pos has bald tires............................were they not bald when you left the break bulk with the big garage and lots of mechanics??

Or my favorite the marker light doesn't work..........................there isn't even one there and we're talking the back not the front........................

Here's a novel idea from back in the day. How about Switchers, P&D and Mechanics try to identify problems before I come to work with 6 1/2 hrs. sleep because I have to work 12-13 hrs. every night, running 586 miles and sitting around waiting for the load at the EOL Term.
I have to find the air leaks, the bald or flat tires, the lights that are missing, burned out or just blinking because of the missing or closed pins or bad cord, oil filters leaking, coolant low and broken seats, transmission cross members loose or broken, dummy glad hands that won't stop leaking
I might just as well become an Owner Operator, that what it feels like. I wasted the last 7 yrs. of my life here. The first 30 at Roadway Stroudsburg, the Unit was actually on a real ready line.

It's the spotters responsibility only to hook and drag it to the ready line, only. Flat tires, no fuel, missing pig tail, no antifreeze, no oil, broken doors, etc. Then there next job for 15-20 mins, (they have it timed to a science), is to text or play cross word puzzles or take a nap in the truck. They should be sent to work at swift for 6 months of hard labor as punishment.
