Central Transport | New Peterbilts

LOL Now there's one cartoon that I haven't thought about in decades. You guys sure are hard on poor ol' CT.

You know what yesterday I saw for the first time ever 3 Central Transport trailers actually parked at a shipper/receiver.
I've always wondered who they do because and I'm not trying to bash them I'm just saying I never see there trucks at any actual place I see them driving around, and I know they were or maybe still are big into auto parts with the whole Pro Logistics and other shell companies, but I never actually can say besides the GM Plant that I've seen there trailers any where until Saturday when I saw 3 of them at the Grangers Distribution Center.

yes indeed i spoke with them and they wanted much wampum. the chief i mean thief chief crazy ass matty picked up the phone and mumbled some crazy ass :::shit:::....here is what the scene looked like
Is that

Probably needed some one to haul off the salvage

you would not believe it if you worked there. it is run like a crooked pizza shop. people just don't sit around and stir this sh&t up. it is totally unbelievable. i was an ops trainee several years back and had to ride with an owner operator that had no passenger seat and had to sit in a retractable lawn chair...i bitched and they demanded i do it or else. i was fortunate i came away with no injuries.

Yeah that place puts the icing on the cake it's a joke and clowns run it all I'm sorry the sate of the art dolphin hand held it a joke to

Haven't you ever purchased a new vehicle before? You get a yellow temporary sheet of paper to tape in the window until the state gets around to issuing your license plates. 100% legal - who would want to let brand new trucks sit idle on a technicality? I'd hate to be the manager that has to tell his drivers they can't touch the new equipment because the state hasn't issued plates yet...if it wasn't legal they would all be pulled over at every weigh station don't you think?

from what I can see people want to bash ct to make there job feel better. ct is obviously making big strides if all they seem to point out now is that we had a paper tag to run the truck instead of letting it sit and talking about the insurance. central is not perfect as no carrier I have ever worked for was but I am happy here right now which more than what I can say for a lot of drivers I talk to. I see my wife and kid daily and can afford to give them a good life. I feel bad for all the bitter drivers out there that don't get the same thing.

They might have shiny new trucks, but if they maintain them in the same fashion as the rest of the fleet in a short time the "new" trucks will be hard to distinguish from the current fleet. CT is a true bottom feeder, facilities and equipment are kept in deplorable condition.

That true they will not mane tain equipment talk to a CT driver a few days ago and he said his new international was 30 thousands over service I would say in a years time the knew trucks will look like the Sterlington

I saw one of those brand new trucks this week in my area peddling freight with a trailer that was missing the top panel on the roll door. It's excusable if it happened that day while he was out, but I doubt it.

I saw one today pulling a Vitran trailer there's a container hauler around here who owns and operates a used Central Transport Sterling, I hope the truck is in good enough shape to run for him so he can make money. There Sterling fleet was rough looking it was I'm not trying to be mean they had some rough equipment. God the old PJax terminal in Cleveland, what a hole that place has turned into it's about ready to implode in on it's self. Central finally though had all there left overs towed out of there.

30k over service? I'll 1 up that! We got the 1st oil change on our '15 Freightliner at 40k, the next was at 135k.

Oh, did I mention when we got it back, the trans is making a massive clunking noise on the highway in 9 and 10? They told me and my Linehaul slip seat to run it until it breaks. Luckily we're both veteran drivers and it seems to be holding... For now.

And don't even get me STARTED on the ::shit:: trailers they are sending our barn! Seriously, I've got years in at CT and these are some of the WORST excuses for trailers I've ever seen!

The only thing keeping me here right now is years of service and an awesome TM. But, even that isn't enough. I'm job shopping now.

Sorry, had a particularly crap week. Tore my shoulder up fighting one of these ::shit:: trailer doors. Bad enough I actually filed an accident report in case it turns out to be more than a pulled muscle.

Between that and the horse ::shit:: they keep tossing on our city guys, and the BS they pulled with Linehaul causing guys to leave, I've about had it.

There are plenty of other examples that we could use, but anyone who's been driving for more than a week will already know what kind of garbage equiptment Central has because they see it sitting on the side of the road broke down all the time. I see at least one or two a night.

Quit kidding yourself dude, you work for a bottom feeder. If you think Central is the only LTL company that has their guys home every night, youre obviously trolling. And the insurance is a joke, so give it a rest with that line.

Instead of coming on here pretending to be drivers, maybe the management could actually try to make the company less of a ::shit:: stain on the LTL industry. Then you could at least lure in new drivers the honest way. Although honesty is a foregn word for the Moroun family I'm sure.

Today I saw a Central Transport 48' piker pulling an empty tandem axle piker converter dolly behind it's trailer going down I-480 which is a non toll road. I had to do a double take, because I don't believe that is a legal combination on a non-toll road.

I was in the passenger seat and I actually said to the driver I said look at that central truck is that legal? He said "Not with a 48' trailer." It was tractor 48' trailer and tandem axle piker dolly that's like a turn pike double almost on a non toll road. They must have needed the dolly at the shop to get it fixed and figured why not I don't know.
