I heard yesterday that a good FedEx friend of mine was in an accident and died....
God loves you Rawhide, Rest in peace my friend
The driver of a FedEx tractor-trailer has died following an early morning accident on Interstate 20.
According to Warren County Coroner Paul Lowe, the driver of the FedEx truck was Wallace E. Lee, 49, of Lexington, South Carolina. Lowe said he died on impact of blunt force trauma.
On July 1 at approximately 5:30 a.m., McDuffie County dispatch received a call for a tractor-trailer that had run into the woods near mile markers 166 and 165 eastbound.
According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper David Osborne, the tractor-trailer, a FedEx truck, was traveling eastbound on Interstate 20 when, for unknown reasons, the driver crossed the fog line.
A Little Caesars tractor-trailer was parked on the right shoulder of the interstate as the driver was doing a tire inspection. The FedEx truck sideswiped the cab of the Little Caesars tractor-trailer and ran off into the woods.
