ABF | how much linehaul will be eliminated with..

Probably all the turns while the shiny wheels do the long haul terminal to terminal. Mike Moss the guy from fed ex has judys ear about how much she can save.fed ex ground has NO company drivers and the same thing will be phased in here.. just my 2 cents......

They have already changed a few ue runs back to 4 days because they didn't have they hours to work a 5th day. That will continue to be a problem fr the longer ue runs.

Yeah, right, and ABF is/was not allowed to shift Timekeeper revenues over to Panther either, grievance filed and nothing done, don't think for a second that Judy doesn't see how weak we are.

Tracking that is an almost impossible task...I wonder if Judy knew that right off the bat?:confused1::hilarious:
It's impossible to figure out because UE comes in and never signs in and out correct? They don't sign in and out on the road side in KC anyway. As far as I can see that is all undocumented freight.

UE and PT are two different things but our UE's sign in and out, PT's probably do not.

There should be a separate sign-in sheet for UE. Contract requires a paper trail for foreign power entering your terminal/jurisdiction. Steward should be looking into that, as it remains the only way to track movements between jurisdictions.

But to answer the OP's question, I would say, "Yes, all road jobs to switch to UE with the long hauls going to PT".

The steward at the different barns should be making it clear all ue driver's are required to sign in and out All ue driver's should be courteous enough to sign in and out without being asked to do so

Management is required to make available a record of all pt movements stewards need to keep on management like stink on s___ to make sure this is being done Drivers and stewards alike can record any pt equipment on the yard Get the numbers and see if they match what management says If everyone just keeps saying that the way it is nothing will change Get the numbers so you have a record Stewarts can't be everywhere all the time help them out with useful information

Don't forget the ones who hide the sheets or do not sign in and out because it may screw their little back door deal up.
I believe electronic logs will solve a bunch of these problems.

Good luck getting access to those electronic records. If your BA isn't down there once a week demanding to look @ them, you have a lost cause. Stewards can only do so much. The rest is up to the Hall to support the stewards. Gathering the loads dispatched only works if you have the support of the hall.

You have to document the loads on paper the company is not obligated to give records of elds get the carrier numbers and time you see them in the yard if you have proof to take to the steward or ba they have to address the problem the only way to make things right is for everyone to work together if we remain divided the company will win
