New Penn | Coo

first off lets get something straight here, just about nobody In #03 wants this to happen, ok, and if It finally does happen well there is not a thing any teamsters at #03 can do about it. lets face it there is stll animosity over at #02 from the Lancaster closeing 10 plus years ago. #03 isn't getting all of Lancaster county, and even with #14 getting some that's still not all of Lancaster county. 16 men able to go to #03 is includeing road and city , based on the bills generated by the change. which leads me back to my question of what customers are going to generate that many bills a night?? don't think your looseing mechanics, takes 2 to fuel trucks everyday, and were still saddeled with plenty of junk to work on daily. 776 at this time would be wasteing there time as there is still to many old school npme mechanics who are happy with what they have. although YRC healthcare turned to ::shit:: for them about a year ago. and as far as loseing there jobs if this doesn't work out, we could only hope the 2 top clowns would go, but that aint never going to happen as long as YRC owns us, no matter what the two clowns dream up.....

well you know its all a numbers game any more. they wont be making more than six if they don't meet some kind of number parameters.they will just send the freight out tomorrow. make it a two day lane. hell look how late freights getting to all terminls, includeing reading on any given morning.

Probably wrong but you'd figure the union would want some detailed evidence that this is gonna succeed in improving chances that the debt we all took concessions on repeatedly will be paid back....and details that it's not gonna lose money so the banks can come back again......and from reading your resonses and rumors heard....it looks like a losing plan.
Years ago I would think a union would have said no or delayed for more details. .........delusional thoughts by todays standards.
It's not up to the union to run the biz its up to management as long as they don't break the contract its up to them how they run there own show not us unfortunately .

Goes to panel today or tomorrow and probably won't start till September or October according to rumor. At some point the union has 180 days to protest it or something. Talk to your BA's or Eastern Region about that.
If it don't hurt the unions pocket they won't have an issue with it.

It's not up to the union to run the biz. But it is up to the union to make sure conditions aren't broken down. The company is asking and requesting at least 3x in the proposal. Asking and requesting....and saying no...is not running their business. Its saying you have enough. Find another way.
I don't know exactlly who they are asking...All locals? Eastern Region? The panel. Also it must not be "running their biz"...if there is a 180 day period with opportunity to turn it around under circumstances.
There's also a line in some legal mumbo jumbo regarding the MOU stating stuff about us having the right to make sure stuff about their finances. I'll dig that up. It's not there to "run their biz"...but actually some form of protection for us...believe it or not.
I think the legal mum I jumbo on monitoring finances you are referring to is on page 8 and 9

looks like the wheels are coming off the truck, figurtively that is. can they right the ship in time so they can sell it while somebody still wants it?

In the age of internet home deliveries a company based on a thin, low, short trailer decides it would be best to go with the stupidest, widest, longest monstrosity on the road.
This is growth. LOL.
In a time where speed and timeliness is everything....they choose the slowest trailer for the job and load it in a way making it the slowest possible way to load and unload.
Weight must have a minimum. It must be jam packed full with load bars used all the time.

I've seen companies go down before but this one is taking the cake.
I've never seen such obvious stupidity in my life.
I can't believe that the YRC bosses or the New Penn bosses get paid more than a Dollar General manager.
This is pathetic.
Did they get discount on these rental trailers for taking swinging door trailers or is just how stupid they are?

Seems all they care about is the "Bill count" they don't understand 50 low paying bills stuffed into a trailer causing freight claims is a loss. Can anyone tell us what you get if you have 20 good paying bills loaded properly into a trailer and delivered claim free ?

PROFIT !!!

Slave I agree that peddle runs shouldn't be on 53' trailers with freight decked. There are some areas where that may be ok. But what is the solution at this point? If we could hire more drivers it would lighten the load on everyone. You just go out and do what you can, if a driver has a stop that they feel it is unsafe to deliver on a larger trailer, call dispatch and let them know. And move on to the next stop. It's not a job worth worrying yourself to death over.

so whats the scoop in reading??you guys closeing out by 11pm now that you lost so much freight??only 6 came to 03 so did they get rid of 10 guys or not??here other than a hand full of trips rest getting out about 1 hour later than before, well there call times are hour later who knows about leaveing times..any word on how philly is making out? nobody went there out of reading but they picked good bit of freight.

2 outbound supervisors and one which was outbound and ended in dispatch. They were all the newest except the new TM is newer. He's still here. I think one was a tape measure job to make stuff fit. That job never should've existed imo. Precise measurements to stuff a trailer and load bars and 53's are the opposite of what seemed to make NP good imo. Made everything take to long and damages increase. Time seemed important.....

I think pauly is untouchable, they'll never get rid of him
