Yellow | I quit

U must have low self esteam if u gotta get on here and defend a company you work for , work well the hell you want and shut up get on with your life your on the wrong board anyway should you be with all the other kiss butts and blind sheep if you don't like the union don't work for one this union is bad thing is drilled into poeples head now since they are young but if u notice cops are Union teachers gov workers nfl mlb hockey basketball they stand to gather and to very well truck drivers not so good look at the big box carriers low pay no bennies ltl isn't far behind good luck
That's what I always say, if you don't want to work for a union company, then don't apply.

Well I'm a ABF road driver I made $92 last year only paid around 720 in union dues I'm pretty damn happy no company is perfect they all suck we have two ex Estes guys who got sick they came back and were fired lots of butt kissing at the none union comps just like people walking into Walmart blind sheep lead to the slotter keep kissing that butt

I agree. I would chose the same path, UNION. But the facts speak for themselves, pay all compensation close or above what the union guys make, & you will NEVER organize that company. It is a sad comment but a valid one.

I now work for Estes.
Healthcare is very reasonable.
A family of four is $71 wk.
A man & spouse is $50 wk.
A man by himself is no charge.
If you do the math (straight time) on making over $4.00 more per hr plus not paying union dues you'll find it pays better.
If you enjoy spending your life working overtime and you count on 60+ hrs a wk then that's up to you. But for me having time w my family and working 40-45 hrs is perfect.

Another way, I look @ your 280.00 per month medical deduction after taxes from you pay check , is during 17.5 years under a CBA Master Freight Agreement, I never once paid for medical premiums. To me that is half the payment of a new pick up or the full payment on a new car. One of the few things Hoffa made possible during contract talks. On the the 7% I had to give back before I retired didn't help my bottom line. But yet, I would still choose UNION every time. Better work rules & better money & benefits. Oh, that 280.00 after takes, you can tack on about 22% for taxes. And unless you can claim that 20% tax when you file, you are still going to pay the tax. Under the current CBA benefits @ ABF the medical is non taxable. Of course after the elections everyone will be screwed, regardless of how you voted. von.

That's nothing - we have executives that make way, way, way, way, way, way more than that, and I'm sure they come and go as they please also.

I am a teamster driver who cares about exectives there enjoying your 15 percent keep backing them up or there pay

My guess is this pay stub income is from a UPS driver who makes 150 stops per day in his step van. 36.23 hourly seems about right for UPS peddle route. Great money, but hard work. Find me a driver from whom for the last 2 years or more makes 150 stops a day or more using a step van, & I will show you someone who carriers very little fat. I hear @ Xmas time they will make 200 to 230 stops a day. Bust your but every day, run or fast walk 10 miles a day, carrying up to 75 lb packages, run from angry dogs & housewives, my kind of job in trucking. Besides, 125 k a year for 15 years you have no debit & the college fund is fully funded for the kids not like Central States. What was it Jackie said? ‘How sweet it is’.
