I'm willing to try this with a few ground rules... it goes sideways and I kill it.

Rules:
- this is a discussion thread pertaining ONLY to XPO terminals and union activity. Recruiting, or discussions about other teamster issues is not allowed.
-this thread is for XPO employees to discuss issues. If your not an employee ( I'll know), you are not allowed to post in this thread. We can have a mature conversation, without name calling, belittling, or other childish behaviour. Any such childish behaviour, and your gone. This is the only warning.
-this thread will be civil. I repeat, civil. Any bullshit will not be tolerated.
- no names are to be used. Any threats of "outing" a member will result in an immediate and permanent ban from trucking boards, no exceptions.

The rules are simple. Violations will be dealt with immediately and harshly.

Simple enough?

Anyone run to Gary, IN? Did the shop there go union or not? I had heard a rumor that they voted in the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers union but never got a confirmation.

Isn't Aurora's vote today?

Scuttlebutt is that Gary shop failed again.

For those that are concerned, the Philadelphia and Chicago terminals are former Con-way. The one in Connecticut is not.

We heard they voted twice and that neither was a yes. Getting a shop is much more difficult. What are there ? Seven or ten guys ?

I don't think this movement will end anytime soon. I think the new owners will handle the reason for the movement the same as our old pals at Conway, smoke and mirrors and maybe a promise or 2. Maybe another 50 cents next year. this is overnite all over again. I say it's worth a 15 year fight to negotiate
