Yellow | Retired Coal Miners Betrayed by GOP Senators

Why are you surprised?
Bailing out the coal miners will open the flood gates for other groups........................................

Our great sr senator from Kentucky Mitch McConnell, who just absolutely loves coal, and come election time is always pandering to the miners, is the main culprit in blocking the pension fix.
When he says he loves coal he really means he loves billionaires who own coal mines. The people who actually dig the coal? Not so much love for them. Their unions have been broken. And there is no longer any union money of any consequence that he has to worry about going to his opponent.

Cut the miners wages and pensions and make them work harder. Send more of the wealth created to the billionaires who fund his campaigns and less to the miners who actually do the work and support the economy by spending hard earned wages. However, he'll make sure the miners have their guns and the gay people out of the bathrooms.

This is what I don't understand. Dems support unions right?
No, not necessarily. They use to back when unions were strong. Prior to the Reagan Revolution. Back when union money and support mattered in elections. Union power is now broken. The Democratic party is now about 80% conservatI've and the Republican 100%.

This is what I don't understand. Dems support unions right? Why then when they had the super majority that gave us obummercare did they not pass laws to even the playing field? OT for all, for example

It was really only for 72 days. Healthcare was a much more pressing issue at the time

It doesn't work for me. Both are just different branches of the Corporate Party. So I ask you . . . Can a Country that is run by Corporations truly considered a Country of,by, and for the People?
So are you gonna settle for the status quo, which will be a guarantee from Hillary.I believe in Trump, but even if I didnt,at this point what have we got to lose???I think Trump will put a good team together...At least he got rich in the private sector and not in politics.
