XPO | Truckload is being sold

"Mr. Jacobs said XPO will retain Con-way’s core less-than-truckload business as part of its broad portfolio of logistics businesses. XPO still aims to be a “one-stop shop” for shippers, but will focus on market segments where the company has a significant lead on competitors, he said."

-"Until strategies change."

It never made sense for a company that made it's money booking loads, to keep Truckload. They finally got the price they wanted. And not at all surprised that it's a Canadian fleet. Likely Transforce were looking for lanes direct to Mexico. Win - win for both companies here.

Or not !

Get a huge bonus. This was likely a special project for him. To make Truckload more appealing for sale.

That's messed up if they transferred him just to sell the unit he was transferred to.

Hope the drivers and ALL the affected employees get a better deal than they had here!

I am hearing rumors that XPO want's to purchase another LTL company???? Who it is, well that would be classified information at this point.

Its all about that stock price...Flat stock ? Sell something off to give it a bounce up .Wall street loves Layoffs, spinoffs and so on. Gordon Geckos at work.
Think! Nothing is sacred anymore .You guys need to wake up this is not Conway anymore!

Doubt it. They need to make money and pay off debt. Not acquire more debt.
I agree, that doesn't make sense to me . The network is already nation wide and Canada, so what strategic advantage would buying another headache be ??? But that's what Brad Jacobs seems to thrive on.
