many of you know, it's been at least now, 2.5 years, since i've been injured and out of work.

many years ago, can't quite put my finger on exact time, but venture to guess at least 6 years gone by, i keep getting emails from Cowan Systems out of MD. i did apply to them, for a dedicated account up here at a club warehouse, known as BJ's.

i keep getting emails wanting me to become an o/o with them. they got my phone number and leave messages, as i never answer my phone, nor know when they will call.

all i have to do is update my application, and off to MD i'd go for orientation.

i find this very strange. that i'd be in thier file this long.

too bad they turned me down way back when.......

I get those all the time. I've never worked for them.
thing too is, they could not have gotten any information (like my email address) from say, Indeed, or Monster or My Career Builder. on those, they only contact you, via that particular website, with a code number.

Cowan, which i had applied to many years ago, still keeps me on file.>?????

i did put down a reference (employee, whom i worked with at another company years earlier) as a referral, maybe that's why they still have me in their files..?????

Shoot them a e-mail and tell them you've had 2 drunk driving with injuries convictions (1 wild weekend) in the last year and they'll bother you no more.
@ least the injuries part is no fabrication.

well, considering they seem to be really pushing the emails at me now, since i posted this, telling them what you said, may very well work.

then again, knowing "some companies", maybe they have a "'forgiveness clause"...???

They're desperate like most companies now. They haven't figured out the way to alleviate the "shortage" is pay and benefits.

With the recent (a year) listings of Drunk Drivers with similar/identical convictions in C.M.V.'s, it appears you may well be correct in the "forgiveness clause", which, of course is just plain SAD.

Companies will continue to "improve their pathetic offers" and garner the wankers, whiners and wreckers (not tow truckers), until Trucking is so embedded (half way there now) with dimwits, halfwits and nitwits that all new "regulations and mandates" will have no effect, but that's all thanks to our fumbling feral buffoons.
Those "bonuses" ($2,000 to $5,000[??]) are paid out over 6 - 18 months (READ the fine print), so those "bonuses" are not worth spit.
Then there are Longevity, Safety, Idling (see Freezing or Frying), On Time Delivery (or Just In Time), as well other "bonuses" and companies are consistently "seeking qualified drivers", so go figure.
With the E.L.D. mandate being implemented by December 2017, MANY QUALIFIED and EXPERIENCED DRIVERS, like I, WILL LEAVE THE INDUSTRY.
The new trucks with all the so called "improvements for safety" will simply kill drivers as well causing MUCHO mayhem to all motorists.
Covenant, for one, has a "system" wherein it de-accelerates the truck for ANY or no reason regardless of terrain (uphill, downhill, flatland when dry, raining, icy, snowy) AND disconnects the Cruise until driver stops and re-starts vehicle. YEAH, THAT'S SAFE.
EXPECT MANY ACCIDENTS, CRASHES, WRECKS this WINTER because of "faulty truck computer safety programming".

CHEERS!!
