FedEx Freight | ELD's/legal challenge/real world at FxF

Our cameras are active now I've already seen video of some false flags on me, stability control on windy days. if truck rocks in high winds it will flag and record.

They are active the day they are installed. We have had them for 3 months the cameras were installed before elds and the day after the cameras were installed in our trucks some of the guys were called in to watch videos. Some times you have to consider the source of info, in this case the info is coming from someone who doesn't even work here so its irrelevant.

No apparently it's not system wide the cameras are not active up here I don't have to work there to talk to the people that do work there.

You have no idea if they are active or not all your going on is hear say. Even the person in the truck has no idea untill you wind up in office.

Before we start telling people they need to find a different career just because I asked a question on something I don't agree with is bull. Different areas of this country dictate different driving situations. You may agree you may not, but you can't tell me that you have came up on a slower vehicle , tried backing off and within minutes are back on them and your timing a moment or praying someone will let you out to pass.
So while you got your momentum up timing all this the vorad is beeping like crazy. Every one of us gets in this situation to pass a slower vehicle. All i was saying the camera does not give the situation only a small snipit that your following to close.
I shouldn't have to explain this to some redshirt that is clueless to what it takes to drive out here. By the way 24 years here and 32 years total safe accident free.

I wasn't directing that at you just in general. I agree with you thats what im saying im not going to change my driving style just because of all of this micro managing because thats what these cameras are.

The cameras are live as soon as the installers signed into them, I personally watched one being installed and saw the footage of when he logged in to check the camera operation. That was one of there final steps is to make sure the camera was operational.

That's ok , we are going on the 7 the elog but two drivers have already had reviews, one for the tilt of the cab going around a round about through a hard brake and the other I haven't confirmed, I have one of the new Pete's that loves ghost braking. Have complained all the way to corporate safety. They deadline it and say it's in spec but yet several are on here complaining about it.

We have a truck that the stability control box is messed up on, the camera comes on going around just about every curve. The driver has wrote it up countless times never been fixed that i know of.

I bet you know everything that happens at both terminals on a day to day basis. :lmao:
Why do you say stupid crap like that? I certainly don't know everything that happens at both terminals, but I can and have asked and have been told that they were told November 7th and as far as they've heard no on has been talked to about a video. Why is that so hard to understand?

Anyone else have a problem when the skip change of duty status comes up and you hit skip and I make sure I hit skip not OK, it goes and changes duty status anyway.

Our changes your duty status once you start driving again. I believe it's set at 10 mph, once you reach that speed you're now driving and recorded as doing so. Keeps drivers from fudging the "hours of service".
Hope this helps.

That's interesting, one of my buddies said if your in traffic or setting at a light to long it'll move you to on duty not driving. I know you can't paper log it that way.

The ones at OD are 2 minutes switch. If you are on driving but sitting for 2 minutes it will switch you to non driving. Then when you get rolling and have been driving for 2. It will switch you back and take away the time from when you started rolling

That's what mine is doing and it might be twenty miles to find a area to pull off and go back to driving status. I kind of blame the company on this. There not ever happy to just take something out of the box and have it work like it's supposed to. They always have to tinker with it and we endure the problems it creates.
