XPO | Can we trust Canadians ???

When I first moved back to Buffalo I would run a walking floor up to Toronto. Talking to the drivers there showed me they have their fair share of problems. The immigrants coming into Canada are charging 80's rates on trash collection in Toronto. They said we won't even bid on it anymore. We're more alike in some ways than people think.

Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but nobody is marching on Buckingham Palace anytime soon. My taxes don't go to the Crown and the British government nor the Crown can command me to do anything.

Canada is a sovereignty. So is Australia. The US government has more influence over me than the Queen of England does. The Governor General acts in her stead, but even that doesn't matter because Parliament actually runs the country, just like in Britain.

Just because we never fought the Crown to demand our freedom from it doesn't mean we're not free. The difference is that the United States fought for freedom... Canada just figured out one day that we were on our own because the British can't afford to protect us.
 
I have entered my opinion. This was not to be a debate, but a why we feel the way we do. Since we our touching on these subjects, let us speak of the oppression of the good people of Quebec, the oppression of the native peoples. I sir, cannot, nor will I ever be able to join hands with the peoples of the north, until they crack the crown and toss it down. I cannot forget the sacrifice of Crispus Attucks, and all the rest of the renegades, that fought and died, so that I may be free of these ancient tyrants of the old world. For Canada is but a mere sleeper cell for the British crown, waiting with baited breath to strike us down at the precise moment if it ever arises. Why are all the major cities near the American border? I'll tell you why, they are strategic to the planned assault. We worry of the communist dictatorship on a Caribbean island, yet we ignore the socialist state north of us. This has been, and will always be a great threat to our democratically elected representative republic, as our people strive to foolishly follow their example. We must as a nation, completely cut off Canada, cut diplomatic ties, impose sanctions, until they renounce this evil. This despotic system they are under, It goes against the Creator.

Thanks. Haven't laughed that hard in a while. Oppress the people of Quebec? You clearly have no idea. The First Nations? No different than you and the native Americans. Throwing stones in a glass house is never a good idea.

I've seen a lot of bizarre American conspiracy theories over the years, but this is too funny not to laugh at. I wasn't aware it was still 1812 in some places. Apparently someone missed the memo indicating that the whole Canadian Army could fit on a pair of Greyhound busses and our technology is about 50 years behind.

Canada couldn't mount a meaningful attack on the United States if everyone in the country grabbed a gun and went for the border. And the British Army hasn't been in Canada for over a hundred years. For them to get here, the US government wouldn't be able to miss it.

And the reason most cities are on the border in eastern Canada is because most of them were established BEFORE the border was.

As for Quebec, a less oppressed group of people I have never met. Try GOING there before assuming they are oppressed. It's the only place I've ever been where you're looked down upon for not speaking their butchered version of French. If you can't read French, good luck getting anywhere there. They cry about independence, but they want Canada to pay for it. Whenever Canada has given them the opportunity to leave, ultimately the answer has always been "No, we don't really want to be on our own."

I wouldn't expect an American to know any of that, but then most Americans can't tell the difference between a Canadian and a Minnesotan or someone from Maine. And most Americans consider Canadians to be an extension of Minnesota anyway, their polite Northern cousin instead of their polite Northern brother.
 
Is there really someone on here that really cares, my God we have people cutting each others heads off and were worried about good caring people like canadians, please just go away or delete this thread!

Since we cant seem to get an adequate description of what a ketchup chip is, I'll just assume it's just a French fry with catsup on it.
