GFS Cleveland Transport:
2016 Allegheny Valley Division Team of the Year!
2016 Allegheny Valley Division Broadline Transport Team of the Year!
I my self was a 2016 GFS Gold Club winner, but the team as a whole winning is more important.

Congrats Mike, did they give you an actual "gold club" or just a membership, just kidding, but good job getting recognition for doing a good job.

I got a ring and a pin, GFS Gold Club is the highest award you can get at Gordon's Hall of Fame is like the pinnacle, but you have to win Gold Club 4 or 5 times to get hall of fame, however even getting Gold Club once is a big deal and I was able to get it with 1 year and 9 months of service. It's really a lot of behind busting, but I guess I didn't mind.

There were probably 12-15 people who got it because different departments and jobs, like there were two sales people from the office branch I work out of that got Gold Club, there was a cooler selector who got it and some other sales people and a chain driver out of the warehouse and another driver out of the Akron, Ohio branch as well as I think a Refrigeration Technician at the warehouse who also got Gold Club.

They also had pace setter awards which is a nice award it's not as good as Gold Club, but it's a nice award all the same, it's for people who hit the ground running and really keep up a good pace if you will kind of like an award for people who hit the ground running and don't lose any momentum or have any ups and downs, and it's not just truckers who get that award, there was another guy in maintenance who got that award for completing special tasks and projects on time, there was a sales rep who took over a new territory and was really well received and then there was a mechanic at the shop who also got a pacesetter award as well as the trailer washer at the shop he won pacesetter as well and he deserved it he's actually a pretty hard worker always driving around in the yard goat grabbing trailers.

So lots of people there, there was probably 200+ people there they said it was 82% division turn out, so it was nice.

Once again good job, it's important for ones soul to be recognized for busting hump, it lets you know people notice, and that there a purpose for going the extra mile.

I checked my voice mail today and I guess our team winning division team of the year is a very big deal because transportation seldom and I mean seldom wins division team of the year that is not really a transportation award so that's a really big deal.
