ABF | YRC ABF

Ya think ABF getting their own contract had anything to do with the NMFA going to :::shit::: ?
No, I don't. ABF wanted their own contract last go-round and they wanted to buy their way out of the pension funds but, unlike UPS they were denied by the IBT. The new and separate contract I attribute to the YRC quagmire and knowing that ABF wasn't going to go that low. Hoffa et all were on their knees, quivering and begging to keep members and at that point they really had no guts. Additionally, ABF had filed suit against the IBT for giving YRC a deal and not them, I believe that that had Hoffa worried as well. I think that Hoffa is the most incompetent 'leader' the Teamsters have ever seen and that he is to blame for the situation being as bad as it is.

I agree with what you say in this post. But what about the last 2 elections? The IBT never had more than 26% bother to vote on the contract. If I am elected to office for 2 / 5 year terms & only 25% bother to show, to me that is a green light to do what ever I can get away with. AND HE DID. von.

Just announced in the union meeting this morning....There were 15 percent of the eligible voters that were willing to make the effort to vote. Even when such a minuscule effort is needed to mark a box and put it back in the mailbox. Could have done it in less than a minute while standing at the mailbox.

They have came out with a whole new business plan that looks somewhat appealing to investors you can look it up online
I am no stock market expert, but when a stock goes up that much that quick isn't it usually a sign that someone thinks that company might get bought out? I find it hard to believe a new business plan would impress investors that much, but like I said I am no stock market expert!

Did you read the part where
I said you are the union? You self inflicted this on yourself and are try to get even by destroying equipment/ property, I'll say it again , it's a chicken :::shit::: move, that only a coward would stoop to. Happy now?
I don't work for YRC smarty-pants! Why does 26,000 people get to vote itself out of paying into the pension funds or paying its liability? At least UPS paid its liability out of the funds. YRC just gets to screw all of us. Thanks again! What has sitting around doing nothing done for YRC employees? More MOU's it looks like. Again, show me what you've done other than accept your fate? Looks to me like your the chicken:::shit:::

Look my situation is not going to change anytime soon, my issue is you feel the need to destroy equipment / property or advocate such and have respect for the jack wad that posted it. You can **** and moan about the union all you want but if you don't like it leave, I have more times than I care to remember, is that changing my situation? and destroying somebody else property is chicken ::shit::.

Laying around accepting your fate is all we have been doing. The Teamsters need to be more than just dues collectors. I agree destruction of property isn't a good thing but at some point your going to have to stick up for yourselves or get run over.
2019 will end the concession or the company's involved period!

Do nothing and get nothing! I don't care what your opinion is! Go cry to your YRC friends.

The MOU guys voted for!!!!! It's in your MOU's. No one else voted for it!!!

Question. Under the IBT Constitution, can Hoffa or the Board change the vote of the rank & file on a proposed contract, for the reason of the betterment of the Union/ Did Hoffa change the UPS vote in Louisville, KY from a no to a yes under the by laws? Or did the rank & file change the way they voted? If the answer is Hoffa idi a over ride, whay bother to vote? Hence the 1 million who failed to vote. Do they think it is a waste of time based on previous actions by the IBT? Just wondering. von.

I was gonna leave it alone but, I gotta ask, just what is it that you think I'm crying about?

Yes Hoffa can, yes Hoffa did and that Local voted overwhelmingly to flush Hoffa down the terlet. The fact of the matter is that Hoffa can do anything he wants and there is nothing that we can do about it, there is nobody to right their wrongs. The IBT Constitution and our Local Bylaws aren't worth the paper they are printed on and anybody who wants to wager me on that bring it on, I have experience and proof.
