ABFer I don't care to do the research or have a trial, but would like to know, why it is a moderator has the right to kick people off a forum because he doesn't like people? if you don't like their BS, don't respond as you state or go to another thread. but to be a baby is stupid. you clearly don't have the intelligence to be a moderator. or should I say, the integrity. same goes for any mod, to ban or kick people off for disagreeing.

To me only the owner of the web site should have the say in who might be banned from posting. The owner has the most time & money vested in a web forum site. If the site owner says each Moderator has the right to ban someone, so be it, he owns it. But with so many different Moderators with many different views on life, it leaves the Moderators with too much say in someone’s posting. The penalty of banishment is severe. All the more reason to leave it to one, not many.

If Jeff is the owner or Super Administrator, it would do this community good for him to explain the original problem, address the penalty issue & see if it might be to severe for the community, reinstate the banned or put it to rest once & for all. This subject in the ABF Forum is in the top 3 of ongoing conversations. I can think of many thing we can talk about in this forum other that the constant tit for tat. I post on both boards OS & TB & even though the Censorship talk is popular, it is also old. I for one would appreciate some type of comment from the owner or Super Moderator who might have less ego in the game. Thanks. Phil.

In the old days of TB the owner would ban people for publicly questioning a mods decision, right or wrong. Its gotten quite a bit more lax in the last few years.

Doing that is called, 'calling out a moderator', and under the rules is just cause to be banned. Much leeway has been given by me, though there seems to be a faction that doesn't realize it or appreciate that leniency and they have dug their own graves. For those who don't know (we know it), they all have their association elsewhere and are here for the purpose of causing trouble.
@pops11359, @vongrimmenstein, @papajohn there is your invitation to contact the administration. What happens in PM stays in PM and I know how you feel about talking about people who aren't there to defend themselves so feel free to 'include' me in the conversation. If you need assistance on how to include a third party in a conversation, I can help you with that.

I don't quite understand how I have called you out, the only thing I posted on here was about the inability of people to defend themselves when others were talking about them. Now then if that is calling you out then I guess I'm guilty of it. I have said nothing about the way you have moderated this thread. You have to do what you feel is right and I will continue to have my opinions on what I think is right or wrong. I don't think I have called anyone a name or attacked anyone personally, just stated my opinion, but you sir can do as you please. I'm done so good luck.

I must have misunderstood...I thought that this was meant for me. If I was wrong I apologize, and perhaps you could set me straight on who it was meant for.
A difference of opinion shouldn't be reason for banning someone.

Smokestack, I don't have a problem with you. I don't know who your are or your background in llfe. If you are the owner or a Super Moderator on TB that is great. Therefore I assume (god I hate to use that word) the buck stops with you. As to a private message. I will pass. The purpose of my post was to try find answers to what happened, why, & any recourse for the punished. I wanted to hear in a public forum what happened & why after so long ago this happened we are talking about it every day.. I am not like you, Docker, ABFer, GO-40, pops 11359, boilerpeddle, Trux, or Papajohn. I don't have the skill set for debating like most people here. I am simple, retired truck driver, looking for a simple public answer by the bosses here about the punishment handed out & not but least, if the people that were banned are so bad, why is it becoming the most talked about subject on the ABF forum. Thanks. von.

The only reason I have ever used PM is I was to embarrassed about how to do something with my computer or looking way to stupid in asking a question. PM has it's purpose. I prefer to communicate so everyone can see what I post & what my mind set is. If I get out of hand or start to or step over the line by all means, please call me, 317-753-5412 or post on line in plain view my mistake & I will do my best not to repeat my offense. von.

Abfer, you might as well ban me right now. I am not here to defend myself from your accusations. I can’t stop you from believing I am only here to cause trouble. That statement is on you. If you really believe this to be true, then you better just ban me now… Your insecurities are running wild.

I have been posting on the Central States Pension Fund Discussion page… that is only to defend the lies that was being spread by 1 person in particular. Other than that I am only here on the ABF section now after hearing and seeing that people are getting banned for no reason IMO. I have to wonder what is going on. Forget it I think I know now!!!

For the record I never called you out, and I alone chose to stay out of this mess on Truckingboards, and Old School Teamsters forum.

I have way too many more important things to be doing then to come here with an agenda as you speak. If it is your wish to ban all people involved with old school forum then just do it. That is not going to change the image that Truckingboards has become.

You and your actions calling me out brought us to this point. The rules state the mods have to abide by the same rules as the members. So why is it ok for a mod to call out a member on an open forum, but not a members calling out a mod? My question is why you felt the need to call me out like you did. Just like you I did not appreciate being called out on a open forum. You sir should be ashamed of yourself for opening up Pandora’s Box… Smokestack if you are the owner and administrator of this site I hope you can fix what has been done before it is too late. Abfer, All I have to say to you is Good luck… you’re going to need it!!!

I'm not perfect. I've had to learn this the hard way. I use this Proverb daily to remind myself of lessons learned.

I feel some may benefit from this wisdom whether on an internet forum, or in life.

Do you forget what you have posted, or do you not know what calling out a moderator is? You have questions and smokestack has offered to answer them in PM. And you want to make all this out of it?
I do not agree with the banning of Muler or Trux. I have stayed out of this for many reasons, but with the YRC crybabies mocking others I have to speak out. Albag you and your so called comedians do not have the right to make fun of anybody. Albag you are one of the biggest offenders and what you have done in the past may be forgotten by some, but I will guarantee you this I will not forget. Comedians always wants to make light of something as long as it does not affect them personally.
Never tried to!!! I just said I did not agree with how it was handled. And how a 30 day ban turned into a permanent ban without any prior notice.

You are the one that called me out!!! So my question is why did you label me and why did you call me out? If Smokestack would like to talk to me I am more then willing to talk to him in private or he can he can even call me. I like you did not appreciate being called out on the open forum.

So now you're admitting to calling me out? I labeled three of you because you all had questions and all I did was show you where you could get your answers.

Wrong I am admitting you are calling me out. You labeled all three of us troublemakers!!!

You have manipulated my post to lead people to believe that it was stated differently than it was. And your intentions aren't to cause trouble? You called me out when you openly questioned discipline issued to other users. You could have asked in a PM but you chose not to. That is looking for trouble. If you really wanted an answer to your questions you would take the route that was offered to you.
