FedEx Freight | Is Reno open during the flood?

I remember the flood we had several years ago in Reno. I called dispatch to ask them if I could grab a couple of Penny's trailers and get out of town. The weather was bad. They said no. I stayed at the western village hotel, and watched the water pour into the granite rock quarry. Its now become a big lake. Three days later it finally got cold enough to snow. We chained up and went over Donner Pass. 395 was washed out. 385 was closed for about 6 months. I'm glad I'm retired. jc

You crazy sombitch! I know if I was lucky enough to escape this place, I damn sure wouldn't be hanging around anything FedEx related

  1. 22 years with Viking Freight, and 11 years with FXF. I'm starting my 7th year of retirement. I'm living comfortably off my Fedex Pension, 401K and SS, and I don't have to work at the local 711 to make spare change. I'm sure your plan for retirement is much greater than mine. Happy Trails. TP

Now we're bragging? Real mature ole timer. I was simply giving some constructive criticism

I thought you loved it here!
No humidity, hot chicks, just down the road from RC.

I do love it here! But if I was fortunate enough to have free time like pops here has, I damn sure wouldn't waste my time sniffing around the Fedex watering hole. To each his own I guess

I think it's all he has...
Memories of a company that's changed drastically and his daily ration of carbonated water (Coors Light).
