Opening into the N. E. is probably costing already. New bosses ,terminal leases, updating the terminals all adds to the bottom line.

I'm not an accountant, but I'm not certain that purchases/leases of property would have a 40 point hit to the overall OR. It's only 4 terminals after all. Looking at these numbers, it like oks like shipments were up, but earnings were down.

Last Wednesday, my paycheck hit the bank, cleared, and that's all the accounting expertise I have. To a grunt like me, the numbers don't look bad at all.

In the 4th quarter, shipments are up, weight per shipment is up, and revenue per hundredweight is up. 2016 vs 2015 showed that Saia was able to charge more per hundredweight and I am not seeing any junk freight on the dock. The OR number is up a little but there is a lot going on so no big deal. Everything looks to be in good shape heading into 2017 and the NE coming online.

they have an ad on Indeed for P&D in Jersey City- $24.99 to 28.06 per hour. The other terminals were $23.09 to $26 for P&D.
