I found out about this many years ago when I ordered a copy of the front page of the New York Times from my actual birthday (2/24/42) and the big story was the bombardment that occurred the day before.

Over 1500 rounds were fired that hit nothing. Three local residents died in car accidents, and two more died of heart attacks.

I prefer to keep my credibility somewhat intact.

Truthfully, I have a long term relationship with a shop in Goleta and enjoy traveling US 101 whenever possible. Glad the bombardment did not adversely affect either one.

Thank you partner, I appreciate the "Ole" boy reference!

I still enjoy the driving, the only thing I don't like is that with the automatics I don't have the shift lever to rest my right hand on while going down the road.
