Yellow | Yrc The Cancer Of The Trucking Industry

I think you meant "advice". In any event, there are conditions under which RMD's are not required at 70-1/2 as I've previously pointed out. If you don't care to learn that's your issue, not mine.
My bad just woke up trying to clear cobwebs. I'm not here to learn, just be obnoxious not unlike yourself.............Try to relax and have a wonderful frt filled day

Ripper, before you accuse someone else of being obnoxious you might want to have another look at your own post where the "obnoxious" started. See below:
I'm going back to my fattie now as it now needs
Minimum required distibutions. Federal law mandates @ 701/2. Drive all you want. hopefully you can make it to dispatch from the parking lot in less than an hour while remaining upright.

Try not to be a hypocrite.

Simply put, I meant that this person has a HARD time walking upright from the parking lot to dispatch, hopefully you do not have the same difficulty . , but when being bipedal becomes that difficult it's time to consider other avenues. Friend of mine experienced myocardial infarction at a light in nj. .There are better ways to go out than behind the wheel. Gotta go put my stickers on the boat and test the motor, later..................

I hit 70 last year. Now I am starting my second 70...
70 low bridges???

Did not know for sure until a meeting I had Saturday. All people who did not vote for anything IBT or CS Pension related is counted as a YES vote. Talk about a stacked deck!!! von.
Seems like they like to use the same tactic in all elections. They wanted the same in the CSPF vote that never happened last year.
They KNOW about the voter indifference and apathy, so if they can keep the rule of " no vote cast = a yes vote" they can win every election they choose to, just based on how the item to be voted on is worded.

I call :horseshit: on this one everywhere every time. It's ALWAYS based on those who vote.

Don't fret, didn't happen.
That's how the CSPF vote to accept or reject the pension cuts last year were to be counted. All ballots not returned by mail before deadline were to be counted as an "accept" vote. Fortunately the vote didn't take place, but the "fix' was in.

That explains why he was so touchy the other day. I didn't know.
CRST is now looking into installing a sonar system on our current hotel, similar to what the military uses on submarines, to detect low clearances and will shut off the engine 100 ft in advance of the viaduct... my partner asked them if it could be programmed to do a minus 15 second countdown to shutoff, but the tech from the manufacturer said that would not allow time enough before another crash....

Based on this definition, maybe YRC is more a boil on the butt of the body, trucking?

Maybe more so a Red Giant evolving to white dwarf and imminently, black dwarf?

But, a cancer? Not a chance.
From the definition quoted even though I do like your analogy as well!

"
cancer
listen (KAN-ser)
A term for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and can invade nearby tissues. Cancer cells can also spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph systems. There are several main types of cancer. Carcinoma is a cancer that begins in the skin or in tissues that line or cover internal organs. Sarcoma is a cancer that begins in bone, cartilage, fat, muscle, blood vessels, or other connective or supportive tissue. Leukemia is a cancer that starts in blood-forming tissue, such as the bone marrow, and causes large numbers of abnormal blood cells to be produced and enter the blood. Lymphoma and multiple myeloma are cancers that begin in the cells of the immune system. Central nervous system cancers are cancers that begin in the tissues of the brain and spinal cord. Also called malignancy.
More Information

Yellow is the cell that divided and invaded near by tissue--- "Preston, Jevic, Roadway, USF(Holland,Red Star,Redway,Dugan), New Penn, the list going back over the years grow's as we all know.
It spreads throughout the system and destroys good cells... I.E. above mentioned companies.

When putting pen to paper one of the most difficulties at times is choosing a title that conveys the direction of the article. Using a simple analogy that is easy for a reader to relate to is often the best. I simply chose this analogy because we all know someone or have experienced it in our lives. Over on the Holland thread it was misconceived as being insensitive to those who have suffered through it and that was not the intention or point of the article.

That said when you actually do the math and these are low average numbers by the way, combined the givebacks alone not including the pension and vacations given up hovers around 3 Billion dollars. The actual numbers are higher given overtime and additional factors.

I have read most of the feedback and what newer drivers do not really understand is that we either agreed or were forced into this giveback in one way or another. For those who were with the companies prior to 2009 the pill though bitter was able to be swallowed till 2015. The ensuing MOU in 2014 to 2019 was what drove the moral into the pits.

Many continued to hold the line on work ethic alone and performed their duties accordingly, while others lost heart in it all but as mentioned were buying time. The problem there is that the time needed for full service with the freeze in pensions only made it worse so that has made the moral decline even more for many.

With open eyes the company is failing and it is only a matter of time because nothing is really being done to fix that problem. No matter how much sacrifice the rank and file make without absolute change it will join the bone yard.

The article was written to provoke thought and express what so many feel but will not openly state. Management reads these boards as well as officers in the Union local and international. They need to understand that open discussion and the understanding that the rank and file are not what they make us out to be behind closed doors. That was what the statement in the first paragraph was about..

By the way I know some will misconstrue the article as someone being disgruntled and in some ways it is, but its is the truth.

The blame for the death spiral does not reside on the rank and file newbies or oldtimers. It resides entirely on the officers of both the Corporations YRC and the Union Corporation.

That is not an anti-Union statement either, both entities share equal blame for equal reasons.

Print out your figures too T, like on the Holland thread so everyone can see how much money they are hiding off shore. That will show everyone the truth...

Dam stop with the hiding money shot there is no money to hide lol:-) only reason this place is open is the give backs,
they can't make money when the majority of hourly employees are not working dragging there feet so they can get overtime .in majority of breaks the bills per hour and hooks are pathetic.shuttle and city and yard guys are driving the white ones instead of being used on linehaul .causing a huge loss , we don't have enough trucks, dolly, trailers, they in the last 6 months have shaved every ounce of fat, from shops having barely parts, demoting a lot of management , not wanting to pay road drivers there time, road guys there paying some runs less miles so watch it.....

And to top it off the couldn't find a vendor because the only one with in 100 miles won't come out because he has invoices havnt been paid, and he wouldn't take a credit card lol........

thank god only 3 trips left and cash out a boat load of vacation and starting a new job after 20 plus years........ before it goes under or you get killed driving and pulling junk down the road .....I don't care how good you pre trip you can't tell how rusted thru the steel is without special equipment.......and a lot of it is really bad!!!!!!!!

He'll they can't sell the old trucks to Mexico because there in such bad shape , there's 5 sitting at 309 on there axles , and are used for parts old timers will tell that's a sure sign the end is near

And to all that think in 2019 you get back to full pay lol you don't Period.......and you won't get it anyway when they renegotiate...........because I don't see it making that far.....why you think the new trucks and trailers are all leased??????????

they paid down. right 70million in debt lol last year hell the little bit of profit last year wouldn't hardly pay your week vacationed lost.....25,000 employees averaging 1400.o0 dollar vacation would be 35 million plus your 4th and 5 the vacation pays less then the first 3......14,400. Roughly was paid into the pensions would be 360,000,000.00
15 percent give back conservatively say 150 week lost would be 195,000,000.00

So a conservative number the company would have to make over 600,000,000.00
Pure Profit lol over a half a billion
