Charlotte is a joke!!

Central is the biggest joke! Just the way they (Central) treat the driver! I know for a fact they wouldn't talk to me like that in person or in front of someone in management. It's getting old and fast!!
 
Same ol Same ol. Loading vans on pup runs. Loading pups on van runs. Estes got single axles for pup runs but the management they hired doesn't care. The management they hired doesn't care about cut times, they don't care about switchers sittin around milking all shift. At some point ya just have to laugh. Cause it really is a joke. It's the management they hired.

I don't think it's E dock. A boss needs to be a man and tell the dock hand to stop dragging their feet. Do you realize how long it takes these switchers to hook a set? Estes would save money if they had us do it. I believe management at the terminals belong to a union. LOL

been hooking my own for 20years for 7.50 when will we get a raise , until then I really don't care to hook mine.

I hear ya. When you have to wait 30 to 45 min to get your set hooked for free, 7.50 and getting out of yard quicker sounds better. You can linhaul reset all you want but if it takes 45 min to hook sets your just spinning the wheels. May look like on paper we are getting cut on time but in real life we sit and wait and wait and wait for free. I could hook my own faster and cheaper , be down the road moving freight.

Yes, I agree the $7.50 needs to be raised since it's been at that rate forever. However, it's the easiest money to be made here. It takes 10 minutes to hook a set, which is the equivalent of $45/hr. If you add that extra 30 minutes of time waiting for a spotter to do it, you're losing $20+ worth of miles driven. Give me the numbers and I'll hook mine myself every time.

At some terminals it takes 10 minutes just to find 1 trailer!

Any way you mix and match, It still cost time to do it. I am in agreement here, not to argue . I have had a lot of pre hooked sets that were half azzed and I really check out EVERY THING !!! Missing glad hands etc will get you killed. Do not take any thing for granted. Just Saying.
