No pension and lowest paid LTL Driver's and less vacation time ,really WHY are we paying DUE'S ANYMORE ?? maybe we should be thinking of Decertification and let HOFFA get his big fat salary paycheck off the backs somebody else ?? This is total B.S. that the union did NOT oversee these pension funds and see they were going to go broke 10 years ago !!! :6788:

IF national RTW comes about you can just cut their paycheck. A solid decert movement would definitely get their attention. If you are going to do that I recommend you resign your membership and go the objecting payer route, that way they can't file charges against you. If you don't know about it ask your union rep or president of your local. You cannot successfully use the constitution or bylaws to charge them but they will use them against you but if you are not a member they can't do ::shit::. Many people will tell you that if you don't like it just leave but their attitude is different for those who want to organize a non union company.

You do realize that the Teamsters have 1.2 million members, of which only 75,000 are in the freight division. Hoffa don't care about freight.

You guy's just don't get it , you are all willing to just lay down and let cspf and union and yrcw just walk all over you and take what ever they want away from you and nobody wants to fight back or speak up against them and then just LOVE the same old old old old phrase Quit if you don't like it , well I got well over 20 plus years in and I WANT my 5 weeks vacation time back & my FULL pension back too !! and if that pisses you guys off to bad to sad ! Remember the good old days when a union job was the highest paid and had a pension ??

"Remember the good old days when a union job was the highest paid and had a pension "

Sorry brother, your never going to see that again. Just not going to happen. Having said that, we definitely deserve to have proper representation as this present MOU comes to an end. I don't mean continuse MOU's I mean real negotiations. If we can't at least expect that, than really , the $53 dollars a month dues we pay doesn't have a lot of value to many of us.

This thread is almost comical if it wasn't so sad.

WE (YRCW current and former employees) had a choice to refuse the givebacks in '09 and the MOU's that followed by voting NO unanimously. NOBODY wanted to stand together and tell YRC NO. The attitude was save your little piece of earth, work schedule, weekly paycheck ....etc. and we will get it back eventually. NOW it is coming full circle back at us and people are realizing the givebacks including pension contributions are lost forever. NOBODY seemed too worried about the $5.63/ hr. or $225/week we lost in pension contributions back in '09, it was out of sight out of mind. The only concern at the time was the 15% giveback and the lost vacation time with those that had it.

CSPF has been under control of the Federal Government (Dept. of Labor) since 1982 and still is, so exactly how does anybody think we could have done anything differently to regain control of the fund or change the direction of its investments ? Many of the major players that worked for the investment companies that ***** us with crazy fees and questionable investments are now involved with the present Presidential administration, so what is going to change with CSPF going forward ? Better yet go to a 401k and get back to me in 30 yrs. and let me know how your $75/week company contribution added up for you.

Decertification will fix everything, grab your ankles and be prepared for wages and benefits to drop even lower afterwards and the non-unions will follow. The wages and bonuses of the top dogs in management will only increase more then.

Maybe it is time to reassess yourself, cut your losses and bail from a YRCW company, unless you enjoy misery of course.

Non-Union Pay is HIGHER than union pay scale now !!! Riddle me that ??

ARE you serious man! Legacy cost; the majority of your pension and health care cost goes to retirees and orphan retirees. Not to you!!! Wong if you want to read something interesting go to the treasury dept web sight and read the MPRA applications. In CSPF ABF pays in over $17,000 a year in pension contributions. In the upstate New York pension fund it is $25,000 a year, just in pension contributions. I'm sure any non union trucking company pays a small percentage of that in any matching 401k . Basically Wong your raise is going to pay for the retirement of somebody who retired 15 years ago!

That's one of my point's here is WHY do the retirees keep getting full checks when we will be lucky to get $200 bucks a month ??? is that fair ?? People really need to think about WHY are we paying Union DUE'S for what they are doing for us ???

Upstate NY pension and health fund contributions for ABF employee. $545.20 and $297.68 . That is $21.08 an hour in benefits alone. these are those individuals who had $5,000 and out with 30 years. Of course that has since been lowered for newer employees, go figure. I pity this pension fund, they don't have a spurious reason to demand a pension bailout. I've got a question for the fighters. Could they provide a list of current teamster officers who at any time were trustees of CSPF. Would the NCCUP xyz demand they all resign since the CSPF died under there watch. Then again maybe the CSPF was properly managed, it just died under the weight of orphans and an unrealistic rate of return. I think it is time the fighters quit throwing stones in glass houses. BITCHES.

Current union workers fighting with retirees

Non-union companies offering higher wages than union companies (Funny how nobody ever compares the total compensation package including H&W benefits when comparing though)

Mission accomplished on the part of the union busters

It is only going to keep rolling downhill from here for anybody in the freight industry

I thought that benefits paid were the same nationwide.

The retirees have met the conditions to receive benefits under the plan.
Have you ?
Everybody's question should be why are these thieves still running the show ?

oh no, go to treasury department, at the top of the page to the right put curser on services, go down to kline miller MPRA, click, middle of the page to the right, click on view plan applications for benefit suspensions. click go to ny state teamster conference click to see application go to 03 click .

Sir you are cold blooded, Liz I can guarantee you two things, retirees pensions will be cut before CSPF burns through all of it's assets and current workers will have part of their pension contributions put aside for their future. kline miller just needs some tweaking. It will be easier for the fighters to swallow when they hear it from the NUUCP xyz. LIZ have you ever noticed there are never any facts, just bull ::shit:: talking points.

You missed my point Wong, WE (Current and former YRCW) employees let this happen. A unanimous and resounding HELL NO back at YRC in '09 would have stopped it.
Gibberish you ever heard of Hostess, when the bakers union didn't take their cut the banks shut it down. A fortune was made on the new non union Hostess. The various bakers and teamster pension fund's got stiffed for two billion in withdraw penalties. OH lets not forget all the teamsters and bakers that lost their jobs!!!!

How can you be certain IBT didn't tamper with those ballots? Hoffa and company run a completely corrupt organization. You should see what teamsters is giving away at CSX. All as a result of ballot box stuffing. Yes I'm bitter, but there is good reason for it

Did you file a complaint with the NLRB?
