FedEx Freight | Mandatory work

Yeah sometimes getting a day off during the week due to weather can be a double edged sword. While your bid is written on a document you'll have a tough time asserting its " Legal " around here .

Driver those bids are just guidelines LOL, I have heard that song and dance years ago, I am the senior driver at our little place and I was the only one that had to work ,Others wanted to I would have stayed put but no no!!!

When I was a city driver at my old SC our weather policy was a 50 pound bag of blue rock salt and if you got stuck and had to be pulled out you got wrote up ! I'm taking advantage of this new policy as much as possible.

Back in the bad old Viking days when the company made bad decisions all the time, one of those bad decisions was layovers. Another of their bad decisions was seven day linehaul operations. We also ran noon to noon log books. You had to be able to project available hours two and three days ahead as extra board drivers were subject to forced ABC and sometimes D dispatches.
What were they thinking!

What was so difficult about a noon to noon log book when you work at night?

I didn't work nights on a schedule. I didn't say they were difficult. I worked over the road, irregular routes and hours. I ran 48 states and Canada pulling a reefer when I ran those. I didn't see the house for four to six weeks at a time.

So did you guys all end up working over the weekend, or did Big Dave call Fred up and straighten it out???
Kabayo and I went to Memphis to talk to Fred. Had a blast. Fred wanted to take pictures of him sitting on Kabayo, which Kabayo obliged...but then Fred wanted to wear my hat in the pictures.....and ...well.....that aint happening.......so....yeah....all you guys are working the next two weekends...:6817:
