Mitch lilly and some other YRC management came down and gave us a town hall meeting the other day. They had a bunch of graphs and told us how poorly YRC was doing. YRC is ranked number 6 in the national LTL business. YRC has a 49% approval rating from their customers. They are planting the seed for 2019 already. Just remember they are the ones that can't run this company even with the concessions. Bottom line is we have incompetent management.

Why waste your time meeting with them, all or nothing. No need for any TOWN HALL MEETINGS!!!!!

Yes ,they are starting early of planting the seed ,that they are so so so broke !!! Tell that to the "Cayman Island " Banker's !! , It's all a joke to get the "SHEEP" to vote yes again and Oh love it when the BA and Union says vote yes or they will shut down , when really what they should be saying is vote yes so we keep getting your "DUE'S" money ! and already heard they want to bump it up to 20% giveback in 2019 !!!

Did Mitch Lily speak specifically about paying towards insurance in exchange for a raise?

Why start the crap so early? Oh I get it, No stock options for the big boys this year so low & behold no new equipment, Taking city power back to line haul etc, etc.
Really?
What is really sad if the Hoffa da hood & company are gonna fall for this crap also and once again tell us it is in our own best intrest to cave in again. Give up more, Do away with more protections in the master frt and local supplements.
It's getting to the point (Or could get to the point) were People are gonna start asking what am I paying dues for?

I heard the same of which you are speaking Flat,up here in Chicago. I don't believe anyone less than Welch would say that, and it would still come through the union to us,wether we agree with Hoffa or not.. always remember that some things posted here start a a snow flurry, and turn into a blizzard in a hurry.....

Well these same comments are being stated on other social media sites as well. I'm truly not trying to accuse anyone of spreading rumors or anything, I'm just kind of a details type of guy ,so tend to try and get the specifics on this stuff.

I agree, that you would think these things would be coming through the union, but let's be totally honest, after the last 2 MOU's and the lack of support by the union on them ,maybe yrc thinks that direct contact with their employees is a more efficient way to get their desired results. Other companies have used these tactics in the past, sometimes with great success.

you are correct. also, speaking of Indy, the regional vice president in our area claims they are short 50 people in Indy. I told him point blank if you want some decent applicants, they need to start people out at full scale if they have a good past work history. Around 17.50 an hour will not draw good people.

What the heck are we gonna do here without the YRC forum. This whole board will stop functioning! :17142:
Put us out of our misery already.
I don't believe none of it until it actually happens.
No. No. And No!

You mean to say that stuff posted here is (gasp!) not always 100% accurate? I'm shocked I tell you, shocked!

PS - I'm headed over to Brasserie for a nice steak dinner and some brews. Don't post anything important till I get back! And say hi to Wong for me - unless he's sleeping in the bunk that is.

We are both doing a 12 on the dock in KC to help them out down here. BTW. They have great lights here.

Came down where? But they are planting the seed that why Roadway fired him incompetent is a understatement.
A lot of management they have now were fired from roadway if that tells you anything bottom feeders they need to look in the mirror we are just labor they are the ones running this company an very poorly I must say !!!

If in fact the "Town Hall Meetings" are taking place. Than obviously the company has something at hand or soon to be that it wants to accomplish. What better way than to start a "doom and gloom" campaign to accomplish its' goals. Way too early for 2019 "contract scare tactic" must be something more imminent.
