Yellow | YRC Town Hall meeting

If in fact the "Town Hall Meetings" are taking place. Than obviously the company has something at hand or soon to be that it wants to accomplish. What better way than to start a "doom and gloom" campaign to accomplish its' goals. Way too early for 2019 "contract scare tactic" must be something more imminent.
The doom and gloom campaign has been going on here on TB for 8 years now.

Yes ,they are starting early of planting the seed ,that they are so so so broke !!! Tell that to the "Cayman Island " Banker's !! , It's all a joke to get the "SHEEP" to vote yes again and Oh love it when the BA and Union says vote yes or they will shut down , when really what they should be saying is vote yes so we keep getting your "DUE'S" money ! and already heard they want to bump it up to 20% giveback in 2019 !!!

Why start the crap so early? Oh I get it, No stock options for the big boys this year so low & behold no new equipment, Taking city power back to line haul etc, etc.
Really?
What is really sad if the Hoffa da hood & company are gonna fall for this crap also and once again tell us it is in our own best intrest to cave in again. Give up more, Do away with more protections in the master frt and local supplements.
It's getting to the point (Or could get to the point) were People are gonna start asking what am I paying dues for?
I think that time has already long passed. The union brass should also be required to answer those questions. But of course, IF you ask those kinds of embarrassing questions at just about any meeting at a Local membership meeting and demand an answer, you WILL BE shouted down and promptly escorted OUT of the building and labeled a "troublemaker" or "anti-union". Then you can forget about ever winning another grievance. That is "democracy" Teamster-style.

On the subject of Teamster union dues that are collected every month - just from YRC members, the dollar amount is staggering.
Do the math using whatever each member is now paying per month in dues times 26,000 for YRC..........
OR times 32,000 for all YRCW Teamster members. Remember this figure is per month going into the IBT and Hoffa, for what?
Those figures are astounding - no wonder Hoffa wants to keep his "golden goose" alive.
He keeps encouraging YRC Teamster members to keep the MOU going, not for THEIR benefit, but for HIS.

Henry you are one of the few that grasp the dues issue. A whole bunch of money & then some. To keep that revenue stream flowing, the IBT will do ANYTHING to keep that income, @ the expense of the rank & file who make their job possible. And that won't change. Why? 84% of the rank & file failed to vote in the last general election for the IBT Officers. That 84% doesn't want change. If they did they would have voted for change. Apathy @ it's finest. von.
