We were just told in st.louis that the freight that's been diverted around kc is going back to kc thanks to an agreement between local 41 and yrc. What we were told is that certain overtime restrictions were lifted and that they Will be working more hours on the dock. We weren't given much more details we were laughing to hard as they explained the company's answer to being behind is to work people more than 60 hours. Whatever the truth is good luck in kc and we are told enough lies we know better then to believe much of what we hear.

Trip would say be Happy your working for such a Great Company
Oh. I am so happy. :19:
I love watching the smug assho*es sit there with the dock full of freight and no empties to load directs to.
Seems like management. If we had any. Would plan knowing it's the last day of the month and quarter. And accumulate some empties prior to the end of the month.
No such thing as planning or managing. Just a body. :17142:

I don't know why they would do that they just cut 5 wild team trucks for the new bid plus our dock crew has slowed down more than a turtle without legs

Same thing here brother, you know the saying "proper planning prevents **** poor performance", well here is "Pathetic Planning Prevents Proper Performance from our **** Poor management People".:stupid:

After all these years the dock crew finally decided to give 85% instead of 100% effort. JUST LIKE THEIR PAY. von.

Years ago a fellow brother was set upon by a new TM trying to make a name. The first night he spent 8 hours trying to find a skid of freight. It helps that his brothers & sisters on the dock kept moving it around so no one could find it. The next night, he found everything on the strip sheet but only loaded 1 skid. All the other were damaged, (see slight crease in box) & had to write em up. No PDA to check the box & go on with the next one. He also suffered from writers cramp. The third night the BA showed up & explained how thing could go great or poorly for the new TM. Problem child backed off & some freight got moved. Back then you had the power & backing of the union. Now, good luck. von.

Back then our competition was other Teamster jobs. Today our competition is mostly non-union. Most of those other Teamster jobs have disappeared. Ya think that maybe that makes a little bit of difference?

Problem is the 85 percent they are giving now is 40 percent of what the boys at Fed Ex UPS and Dayton are doing every night. Which is why their trucks are rolling down the highway six hours before ours are. When I leave at night I see em pulling out and that is from an EOL. We rank last in almost everything and that is what will close the doors for good. Can't move freight, hook freight, pick up freight, deliver freight, but we can make that TM who is trying to make a name for himself pay for it. Personal pride and my customers are the only thing that keeps me setting the alarm clock anymore.

Yea but giving 85% ain't hurting a non sinkable titanic it's fking the road drivers most of all but that being said I'm paid for sitting on my a$$ and that's where most guys just don't get it yea Dayton saia xpo Fedex southeastern Estes averit a duie Pyle oak harbor LME there bottom line pay may be more than ours but my check at the end of the week is more than one of there's When you figure in insurance 401k there is about a penny difference in pay but none of them other guys get all the extra pay we get and overtime

Sounds like we get a deal then. 85 percent effort and 1 penny less pay. No wonder we are doing so well. Especially when that 85 percent is highly questionable to begin with 85 percent of the time.

That's why 15% of the time I'm not at work so I only work 85% of a week
