Make sure you budget a salary without ot.What's going on peeps. Currently out of the Melrose Park ok terminal and am looking to move down south. I don't have time for the whole transfer procedure so I was just wondering if any southerners out there know if any terminal is hiring?

Can we trust Texans????!We're Texans. Not Southerners.
The right question would be do Texans care what we think ? If you need help with that question just ask.Can we trust Texans????!
How far could you throw one?Can we trust Texans????!
Is it OK to refer to you as south western Texans? We're Texans. Not Southerners.
I believe I've answered the question. Is it OK to refer to you as south western Texans?
I dont believe he will lose any of his seniority as far as health care ,vacation time or his pay scale......I've talked to some of the drivers in TEXAS and they are all hiring...Your plan is to quit Melrose Park terminal. Move down to Texas and start as a new hire at a new terminal. Dropping to bottom scale, dropping to bottom bin health care, loosing your PTO accrual rate. I guess your seniority just isn't enough to loose. Why not just start over at a whole new LTL company. Only the best and brightest work here.
Right! Only starts a the bottom at the new terminal. Seniority and other benefits move with him.I dont believe he will lose any of his seniority as far as health care ,vacation time or his pay scale......I've talked to some of the drivers in TEXAS and they are all hiring...

Key word in your statement is "resigned". I know of an exact same case. Transfer is totally different. There within lies the key. Knew a driver that resigned due to personal reasons. Came back a few months later, started all over again. Nothing transfered over. Bottom bin.
There is a catch if the company ask if anyone what to move then you dove tail in at the new barn.Right! Only starts a the bottom at the new terminal. Seniority and other benefits move with him.
True and if you ask for a transfer all benefits transfer with you even though you go to the flex board. There is a catch if the company ask if anyone what to move then you dove tail in at the new barn.

He does not want to do that. We had our regional HR manager tell us that if you quit they will not rehire you this is across the board, driver, dockworker, and even managers a office personal. I know of one TM that this happened to as for a driver I never heard of a case. This guy is not looking to transfer. He can't be bothered by "the whole transfer procedure". He is talking about quitting. Moving south and looking to hire on at another barn. At least that is what I inferred from his statement. That means loosing it all and starting over, and that is only if he gets re-hired. Which is a long shot, at least it was during the former Con-Way era. If ya quit, you had a better chance at winning the lotto than being re-hired. During my time here I only know of one guy that was re-hired, and it happens to be said named driver. I know of several others that have tried the comeback tour, to no avail." Might as well go to OD like everyone one else that quit. Unless the OP returns to further explain, we will never know the full details of his master plan.
