Jimmy, remember when Preston put those mobile data terminals in 7 of the linehaul units, allowing access to System Movement and Control. I had 1. It was GREAT! Was able to arrive myself in the parking lot, query drop doors, query hook doors, load power/trailer(s), dolly info, depart, update ETA. And, had a company 4 channel VHF 2 way radio, so when I was within 40-50 miles of the terminal, I could contact via voice. Man, those were the days! It was a pilot project that died due to it being expensive, especially the MDT. Back in the fledgling days of computer systems, and no cell phones.

The only company seemingly capeable of mucking things up even worse that YRC is United Airlines. Maybe the CEO of United would be interested in coming over to YRC. He's certainly qualified. Depending on the source, United lost between $255 million (marketwatch) to $1.4 billion (fortune mag.) due to this idiot's leadership. Perfect fit for YRCW - HIRE HIM !
