Central States Pension Annual Financial: $15.3 billion

I don't know if it is as bad as all that. The pension fund is still worth over $15 Billion and the number of retirees is very slowly declining. Also, if I understand the chart, the number of active members seems to be increasing (probably due to an increasing economy). So more money is being paid in (slowly) and less money is being paid out (slowly) leads to an eventual increase in the fund stability. And if YRC ever gets to the point that they are paying their full amount, then it seems to me the fund may become sustainable.

15.3 billion divided by 409,000 people in the fund = $37,408 per person in a onetime payout. Not enough to fund a retirement.
I know that's not how it works, but it shows we're broke... when Yellow laid me off in 08, we had over 22 billion.

Double check your math Jimmy. 15.3 billion divided by 409 will equal 37.4 million each. But 15.3 million divided by 409 will equal $37,408. LOL you dropped three zeros from your original calculation.
