Yellow | Is it just a matter of time?

Hi train welcome to our YRCF circus...lol.most of us see this that if none of the big wigs get removed then all is well.sosdd
Plus the company wants a change of operations this summer and our contract is up in 2019.2 for 1 deal not a bad strategy. We have seen this before and other variations

Will the government let it happen? Can they stop it? Surely the big boys FedEx and XPO are licking their jobs. That's a lot of people to be hitting the streets. Is there something I'm just not seeing? I'm really just seeking to understand what's going on. It seems to me any other company would have shut the doors long ago.

Train just watch and learn how they manipulate the stock price and then they like the old "we broke" attitude around contract time. What was yrcw revenue something like over a billion.pretty darn good

The last thing I would ever want to see is YRC go out. They have such a great history and great drivers. Is this just a ploy for 2019? Do you think they may start making you guys contributed to your healthcare? Or is the writing on the wall? I just don't get it.

I know an Ole Boy out of the Garland Texas terminal on NW Highway named Ronnie and he's got 50+ years in and is the #1 driver anywhere in this region. I love that Ole Timer. He's 70 years old and is about to retire. We talk daily and although he has it made he still worries about his co-workers future. I hope things work out for you guys but I just thought I would drop in with my perspective. Carry on.

Who benefits from inflation?

In contrast, unexpected inflation often benefits companies (who can raise prices quickly without needing to raise wages in tandem) and borrowers (who can repay their debts with money that is now worth less than when they borrowed it).

Here is an interesting site to get some insight into how inflation can affect money over time.
If inflation picks up it will be very bad for people like us, but it could change the company’s outlook very quicky.

Ship is sinking fast ! BYE BYE BYE RIP ...........

I look at the state of much of YRC's equipment. It's horrid. It's obvious not much is being invested back into the company. Where exactly is the money going?
Roadway's was worse, and they made money. I think after a certain amount of time you quit caring whether this company will survive. I don't worry about stuff I can't control anymore. I'm getting to old for that. As far as people losing jobs. No one wants to see that, but most who work here have experience and connections to get new work elsewhere. Many here can draw on pensions, but for personal reasons choose to stay. There's lots of history with a legacy carrier like YRC. I think back to Roadway where I came from, and have lots of fond memories, good times, and bad.
Nothing lasts forever.

I wish the buyout of Roadway, and the USF group had never happened, and today see who would have still been around...

According to some on here, the cash is all stashed in the Caymans, and Swiss banks. And some think because yrc themselves grossed a billion dollars for instance, that they have no expenses to pay out of that billion ....like it's all money in the bank.

What is this board gonna become once YRCW goes out and this forum is gone?
Are the mods gonna make a special forum for the YRC and subs unemployed?
This is the busiest forum on the board and we won't have anywhere to go. Lol.
:17142:
It will become the YRC dark terminal thread...
