2001 Sterling still being used and a trl to match. Although id plate for trl is pretty weathered, reefer with 20K for hrs.

Anybody else running around in some old equipment?

When I worked for them out of Buffalo they had some of the most rundown tractors imaginable. Only bandaid fixes most of the time.

We have a small handful of sterlings left on routes and more parked just in case we need parts. My guess is they must get so many miles out of them first before sending them down the road. Most maintenance issues have been pretty good on older stuff, it's just looks rough though. Patches here and there on equipment, corrosion, scuff marks, holes all over dash. Even received trailers from the south probably to rotate the wear and tear.

On the hand newer equipment is around it's not all junk. Impovements on trls have been really good. Surprised we haven't seen any 53-foots purchased yet. I really just don't see some of these new Volvo lasting. From the start most show signs of poor manufacturing, it's just that I don't see them holding up compared to other cheapo trucks we've got.
