Look Dogs I know all 3 of the drivers that were fired in Trenton. They are being represented by the Union. Unfair Labor Practice charges have been filed against the company. The Company fired these guys for one reason only. You all are facing it right now. It's called Fear. They want all of you to be SCARED....They got you all right where they want you. In fact they pretty much run your day to lives on and off the job. I know quite a few of you XPO guys. A good bunch of guys you are. Although we are giving concessions at New Penn. I wouldn't trade this job for yours no how. They can't change anything unless we vote on it. So stop wasting your breath on whether the Teamsters are good or not good and focus on how to make your jobs better and have cheaper insurance and something to retire with. Like a good pension or some sort of 401k that's worth something....Or just stay scared
I hope you were just commenting about XPO in general and didn't mean to sound like you did.

I am here because I want to be ( for now ) and I don't work out of fear. I think the union could make some headway at XPO but stating things the way you put them and painting with a broad brush ruins the union message from the start.

If you know them, what were they doing, and how long were they doing it for?

I urge everyone to ask their tm what happened with the 3 drivers at Trenton. Then do your own research and let us know here what they find. Let see how truthful the answers are. I have all the facts and will post them here but only when we here the stories you get. I think it's very important we get both sides to this out to everyone before we jump to a side.
I'm not trying to be coy I just want to here what the company line is before I devoulge what I know.

Well.......???

Story is still fluid . I haven't heard much of the manager responses I asked for. I think its very important we here that side and not just opinions.
These guys were far from trouble makers but they all had something in common other than there sudden turn too the dark side .

The company doesn't discuss terminations, so I'm not sure what your expecting to hear. They will have their ETRB hearing, and it will go from there.

I'm not scared in the least and I have me right where I want me. And please explain how the company runs my life when I'm off the job. My job and your job are a lot alike, does your company run your life when you're off the job? If not, does your union prevent your company from running your life when you're not on the job? Is this why I need the Teamsters in my life?

I would like to hear the other side but I do believe the company has all their ducks in a row on this. They don't just fire driver on a whim like CCX and Conway did. The drivers have the right to appeal but stealing and falsification of company documents is ground for immediate termination no matter where you work. I believe it spelled out that way in the employee handbook.

On question did Preston, CF, Carolina and TNT red star union member have a vote when the company closed their doors? The only scared people are the ones that need a union to keep there job. So from what you said they were fired for supporting the union. Is that their side. Well I sure well find out.
I also sure that no one here is your dog.

Well, nice tease. You had us all interested. Like there was something intelligent to be said. And then. Nothing.

How about the "big" rally the teamsters held at XTJ the other day? Pretty funny how the big tough Teamsters had to send two women to talk to the cops when they were called.

The use of the Hazmat route between the FAC and Trenton also cause XPO to spend more in tolls then need. Both the hazmat and non hazmat route both use the Pa turnpike. The non hazmat route has them getting on the PA turnpike from I-80 and the Hazmat route has them getting on at the Harrisburg east exchange I-283. The cost of the tolls were figured on a class-7 truck weighting between 62,000 and 80,000lbs on 5 axles. The non hazmat route cost XPO 47.20 and the Hazmat route cost 55.35. It's $8.15 per truck one way to run the hazmat route. Just running the hazmat route 6 time cost more then the non hazmat route once. With Line haul being one of the biggest expense you know the bean counters are looking hard for cost savings

Why were the cops call for in the first place

Trespassing, these guys actually walked onto the property, and wanted to speak to management. The SCM gently explained to them that's not how negotiating works, they seemed a little confused, it's probably new for them. Also, there's a day care center across the street, they illegal parked their vehicles there, and caused a major problem for their customers. No consideration at all.

So your saying they were there to negotiate a contract? Something stinks about your story.

No, they were there to discuss the the fired workers, hoping to negotiate their jobs back.. That's not how it works, now that the union was voted in.

I wonder if the head honchos of the local would be so quick to defend their actions if they knew what they really did, and how long they were doing it.
