I have a friend that applied at OD. He's bounced around when it comes to jobs. Will OD hire someone that has bounced around?

It depends man. Going to depend on how much he has bounced around, how bad they need drivers, how much experience he has, how his background and driving history are, etc, etc. I had 2 jobs in the matter of a little over a year and they gave me a very hard time about it. Still ended up getting hired so it is possible tho.

Before we didn't hire job hoppers, but now we hire straight out of cdl mills because we are so desperate. If your pal can fog a mirror when breathing he'll be hired.

Another thing that may move you to the front of the line is to tell OD that you're good at trashing trucks and smoke like a chimney because that seems to be a common trait amongst all the swift rejected newbs we hire.

He has about 12 years experience. Hasn't stayed at a job longer then 2 years. He has around 12 jobs on his app. But some are the same company. Alot of the places he worked there wasn't work or they cut hours so he left. One place he worked and wasn't enough work so he talked to the manager and the manager told him he would call him back when they got busy so he tried otr 6 months when his boss called him back. But after 5 months of going back they lost there biggest customer and his hours dropped again

Last 3 or 4 years he was at a job for a year and half, them went to another place was there a year and now at a different place for over 6 months

Well experience wise he's def good to go. He just needs to be able to get in front of whoever does the hiring and really explain his situation, in my honest opinion. Otherwise, I feel like they may pass him up... especially if there are a ton of applicants. Just make sure he follows up and tries to get a phone call, or at least a face to face with the hiring manager.

He does have a referral from a od driver. Been there quite awhile to. I told him it does look bad but to me the reason he has so many isn't his fault. Alot of em no work and hours got cut he also moved to a different state for a few years then moved back.

Then his hiring ( in reference to the fog ) will be limited to certain times of the year when it is cold enough to fog said mirror. Right? Lord forbid he hires in the south. He might go hungry. von.

It certainly won't hurt to have a solid referral from a driver. I agree that situations come up that require moving to another job to be able to feed your family, I think anyone can understand that. That's why I'm saying he needs to get face to face, or at least on the phone with the hiring manager and explain. I know that's easier said than done, but have him call and be persistent.

One thing, be completely honest and open on everything. I've seen guys get hired and 2 months later they're gone. They found something that they were deceptive about on the background check. It took me 3 weeks to get approved after my interview and all. Plus I had to quit working out, eat 8 meals a day and go for training on how to properly text and drive at the same time. So I could a true line driver. Fat, lazy and multi task while driving.

Did you have to watch the multitasking videos again after the triples incident?

Tell him if he offers to cut the terminal managers grass at his house like Billy does, that could put him at the top of the list also. Billy always says it is labor- management relations..
Here is a recent picture of Billy mowing the bosses yard.

I "cut the grass" at my wife's "house". I think Billy's more a hose polisher.
