FedEx Freight | Time has ran out!!

Cant have a shop steward without a union, just sayin'...besides, that job would be beneath me anyways, I'd have to be offered president of the local just to peak my interest...
Nobody would have a job if you were president. Too much matter of opinion would be used in how you protect workers. NMFA workers would raise so much hell local 71 would shut down and 509 would take over due to uproar.

First off, our city drivers weren't told they wouldn't get the vacaction enhancement because of the union, they were told this is a new benefit that must be negotiated because that's what the majority wanted...the opportunity to negotiate...and the NLRB agreed. As for when they'll get the new benefit once the union is booted out, see my response above to Mattbob...I dunno, that's above my paygrade. It could be as simple as a click of the mouse (days) or it could be a bunch of bureaucratic red tape as @trucking62 suggested (2 years), that's the problem when you vote the union in in the first place!! Who would they ask...I'd say start with the CCM or HR and work their way up the ladder until they get an answer, although I'm certain legal will get involved at some point since we are dealing with the union and the NLRB. Everyone in CLT has lost the "potential" to earn more money due to the union being here, that's just a fact.
I never take your comments out of context, you're one of the few guys on here who's always courteous and respectful and a lot of guys could learn from reading your post!! :1036316054:

Perhaps one day we'll cross paths and can enjoy that cup of beverage.
You guys wanted it now and thinking for the short term achievement not long term and better for all. Never and easy route quick route when organizing.

Matter of opinion...no, I'd just hold people accountable for their actions...it's called self responsibility. Don't come to me complaining about being disciplined for something you did, if you broke the policy you're held accountable...and if broken enough times, don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya!! If that would cause the local to shut their doors then so be it...

Has nothing to do with short term/long term, they've negotiated for a year and managed to get nothing. We were told, "give us a year and we'll get you a contract" while some even claimed, "we'll have a contract in six months!!" They never claimed they were in it for the long haul and that they'd need 4-5 years...although we all knew it would take atleast that long. They've had their opportunity and they couldn't produce, now it's time to show them the door!!

It's official, the union has withdrawn its ULP and has agreed to a fast track election with EPH with an election date of July 24, 2017.
I'm sure some are going to say this was all part of their master plan but we already saw it coming, they didn't want a NO vote at EPH to influence the CLT election and they're hoping for the opposite...but what they didn't count on was a NO vote in CLT!! :1036316054:

Next up, SBR in Dec...
