FedEx Freight | Time has ran out!!

Is this a real argument? The national debt is to be blamed on the evil corporations who stomp the little man down.
Maybe I am not enlightened in your area of expertise. was it debt or deficit? at any rate you still make no sense to me.
We call him sensenomore for a reason, he obsessed with unions, tariffs, big corporations and his hatred of Jewish people. Just put him on ignore.

First off, you pay nothing for insurance, good for you. The government you so bash is protecting your union as it relates to the affordable care act, and your ability to keep your free healthcare. The "free" health care plan that the local 71 was so proud of here in CLT, was going to end up costing us more money in the long run when you factor in dues and the price of the insurance the union offered us compared to what we already have. The teamsters you are so proud of are in the pocket of liberal democrats, the same liberal democrats that want to transform this country, to a more open boarders, open trade, world market. Unions doing anything to stop that? No, in fact they encourage/demand that their members vote democrat. We in Charlotte decided, the union was not for us, we did, not you, you do not work here, you are not even from this state, next time, just stay on your own company's boards and tell them how to run the company you work for. You have no clue how things work down here, And by all means, mind your own business. Tired of seeing red, purple hammer, city dog, and others that support the company get bashed because a few on here, most don't even work in Charlotte, or for FedEx for that matter want to stick their nose in where it doesn't belong. Guys like DD who get fired from FedEx and still want to insert their opinion, hey southeastern has its own board, go be an organizer over there. CT, last time I checked your terminal voted NO. Quit complaining, of course yrc is hiring if you need the union that bad.

Not bad for your first post !!
Please explain this health care thing !

Your types stuck your nose in OUR business in 1980 or so. And youve done nothing for it.
Nothing but keep people scared and in servitude to scum. No dignity. No respect. Living on fear. Show me your hourly rate. Show me your health insurance which amounts to less than $54/month dues excepting $20 copays for a family of five. Holland or YRC should quit crying driver shortage and the IBT should have them take all 85 union guys from Charlotte right now today and put them right on at our current top rate...and put anybody working towards that top rate right on too. They should also have UPS Freight do the same thing. Get rid of the progression.
I voted Trump by the way...and was more supportive of him than the lifelong righties on here.

Jeez, We in Charlotte were NOT offered the free health insurance from the teamsters. It would cost us more money to go with their plan after union dues than it would staying with the company's insurance. The plan you might be on is not the same freaking plan the worthless local 71 offered us. About the only thing they were able to bargain for was hot water and soap in the bathroom and air condition in the trucks. Great job. You pay your $54 dollars in dues and enjoy yourself. More power to you. We get paid well in Charlotte, WE decided WE don't need the union. You're missing the entire point here, majority ruled. Unless you work here, which you don't, it's none of your business what WE do. XPO is organising, maybe they can feed into y'all and your ever failing pension fund. Just like a liberal, sticking your nose in where it doesn't belong.

I don't agree with voting the union out but it was done correctly and by a majority vote so I don't think we can argue about the process. We will see now what the company does or doesn't do. Stay educated and informed and make good decisions from here.

Deregulation and free trade are progressive ideology......and bith sides worship it as gospel.
You sir are in my business....and youre gonna have to leave that business in order for me to stay out of yours...You allow everh bit of leeway for companies to take our wages, benefits and politicians at will.

Didn't realize the entire trucking industry belongs to you. You think you would've done a better job keeping all those union companies from going out of business. How many are still around from the late 70's? Better yet, the 80's? 90's? You are not the end all be all of the trucking industry. I do however appreciate you coming on the FedEx forum and throwing around your $22 an hour, and your $54 in union dues. Makes me wish we got paid that much an hour in Charlotte.... But, guess we'll never see that much cause we voted the union out. Go be a crusader for the teamsters elsewhere. As the vote showed, they're not wanted here or in any other FedEx terminal.

I haven't seen you post your hourly wage and how much you pay for health insurance/month for a family of 5.

Last time I checked it's still a free country I can say what ever I want. You can be the clown protector all you want, but I think the other clowns are men and can take up for themselves. If you don't like what some people say on here use the ignore feature it works good otherwise your going to have to deal with it.

Who the hell do you think owns your politicians at every level? The unions? Yeh, right.....The corporations have owned them since the seventies at least.....and you can see exactly what they've done with it....Ran up the debt on everybody and everything they possibly could. Yes. they own the politicians...and they are responsible for the debt....although you surely wouldn't hold them accountable....without them you would surely starve to death....not that the big investors whose ass you kiss would ever get off their lazy spoiled asses to do the job you do.
Go on help them take all our jobs away...

The United States being cut off from trade would be like trying to breathe without oxygen," Smith said in an interview with Fox Business Network's Maria Bartiromo.

God knows Smith needs more money to breathe.

For these guys to have to spend 3 years or so of their lives trying to get a union and contract and then to have it taken just like this.....the process is a sham...and needs to be done differently. Life is time and time is money....and it should be stolen from nobody.

I'm Christian. A Catholic. A father and stepfather and husband. A Teamster. A Freight hauler and dockworker. A taxpayer.

I have no shame in what I am.
And the forces I oppose weaken everything that I, and guys like me are.

I received some PM's via email from members asking me to come back regardless of the bet. I figured I'd take this moment to come back and ask the man I made the bet with how he feels about that since he's the one who should have the say-so. I made the bet, regardless of how stupid it may have been, and I'm willing to honor it.

I see where the man I made the bet with has been accused of being a red shirt and has stated I know who he is. For the record, I have no idea who he is but I will honor the bet should he choose.

I won't post anymore until I receive his response. As I said, I only came because I had several members p.m. me and asked me to stay here. For the record, my settings are such that I get emails when I'm pm'd

I have quite a few opinions on the election but I'll refrain from stating them for now. But let me just take this opportunity to say Mountain Dew drinkers drool Sundrop drinkers rule!

I have no dog in this and neither do you but there was no sham here, it was a fair and square vote and the majority spoke. Where's the theft?

Why do I screw with you? I'm a Christian, and a father, and a husband, a lowboy driver and I'm not ashamed of myself either. But I don't believe the world is out to get me.

I'll give you credit, I don't care for you but you're more honorable than the other clown that lost the bet.
