SEFL | Box trucks

I always heard it was listed somewhere up under food service but that is the only freight company I know of that don't pay OT but if you think the union is good talk to them Fedex guys that got it voted in now they are voting it out I worked at Yrc after I left SE and trust me the union ain't what it's cracked up to be and number one is no pension come 2026 in central states health and welfare

The analogy I would use for the union is going into court with a lousy lawyer. I'd rather go into court with a crappy lawyer than represent myself. As far as pensions go, any new pension plans negotiated with any newly organized company will be a single-payer system like UPS Freight. Then again, the employees decide what they want. They could forego a pension and opt for larger contributions to 401k's.

Beware Southeastern drivers! Dick Dastardly was one of the key union organizers at Fedex Freight CLT before he came to your company. He is a union salt.

thx hammer , but anybody thats been with sefl a while know this kind of bs,ill bet a pay check he wont be here more than a year .he will be run off with his lips flapping in the breeze.why is he here ? LTL u know better than that .or so i thought.

Ups freight paid there way out of central states health and welfare due to the fact they knew it was going down the sink and if you are so pro union why not go get a job at Holland ABF or Yrc and as far as southeastern goes it's called take a stand and don't take managements crap and if you have a formal complaint call Tobin he will talk to you

Mention that U word around Tobin and see what happens don't know how long you been at southeastern but Richmond use to have a shop back in the day they went union and the old man came in locked the door on the shop fired every single one of them and Atlanta ATL tried that mess and Tobin and bill told them on the day they were supposed to sign the cards if they did the terminal would be shut down that day
Atlanta would've been perfect to call their bluff too much freight flows thru all three terminals. Service and accounts would hit bottom.

Well they have 4 terminals down there now but anything can be rerouted just to get a point across Estes did it at there Indy terminal about 2 years ago but when management finds out that fella is talking union I give him a few months and them corrective actions will be coming faster than a cheeseburger at a drive in lol

Who's talking Union here? If you mean me you're wrong. Im only having a conversation on here on the subject. No one is doing anything, at least where I work. You shouldn't believe what Purple Dildo says on here. He's just someone with a personal vendetta and he's too much of a coward to handle it like men.

As far as rerouting freight goes, since we're merely speaking hypothetically, they couldn't and wouldn't do that. It's illegal. People should educate themselves on the subject instead of spreading false information. Then maybe people wouldn't live in fear. As it stands now people are too scared to even post on sites like this for fear of retaliation. That's sad and pathetic all at the same time. Is it really such a good place to work if you have to be scared of posting on Truckingboards? Would they really retaliate? I'd like to think they wouldn't considering their faith.

Is everything illegal to you lol if you don't think these companies don't reroute freight you are dead wrong pal you can ask anyone at Yrc freight in Kansas City about that anytime that dock acts out any west bound freight they can gets rerouted to Omaha Chicago and Memphis a company can make there own freight lanes to justify anything

You can't reroute the hub of the SE.

If you had determined locals out there it would cease and desist. YRC and ABF have designated freight lanes. Holland doesn't due to be a next carrier.

Sure you can but I don't think you understood what I said it was just 1 terminal which was ATL they had 2 others NAT and WAT and here's how it could be rerouted via the other atlanta terminals also dalton Greenville, charlotte, Birmingham, and Valdosta but I could careless don't work there anymore but I can honestly say in my 10 years of working there I only seen 2 people get fired that shouldn't have and 1 was offered his job back by Tobin that being said how many people get fired over at holland every week that shouldn't get there job back
