FedEx Freight | Time has ran out!!

Well, you took it as a challenge anyway. While there are examples of the younger generation failing to keep the company in good health (one being A-P-A Transport, North Bergen NJ), FedEx is a little big for this problem.

The main reason companies have failed under deregulation is a failure to adapt to said. The Teamsters have failed as an organization, because they have been in trucking longer than any of these companies. They should have foreseen the effects of deregulation, and worked with their employers to change the operations to meet the shippers and receivers needs. The fact that the nonunion company's have grown so much in the last 37 years, while the union carriers have either gone bankrupt or shrunk to a pittance of their once mighty footprint, is the fault of the union.

Excatly ST, it's their beloved contracts that prevent the flexibility needed to adapt to an every evolving industry!!

I never said I wasn't a Christian, just said I don't believe anything the Catholics say...

Why are we $20 trillion in debt...entitlement programs (formerly known as welfare)!! Entitlement programs total over 63% of Govt spending every year and with almost 50% of households on some type of Govt assistance and the federal govt continuing to close trillion dollar plus deficits every year, entitlement spending will reach 90% of our GDP by 2022!! You want better healthcare, SS, and better pensions, get the 49% of Americans off the govt's nipple and force those who can to work in order to get assistance...but again, this is another topic for another thread!!
You've gotten rid of the unions...and they ain't gonna work. They're not gonna work to remain on government assistance anyways.....and that's exactly what the anti-union side corporations do...they pay barely anything and shove off their responsibilities on government...instead of allowing the workers to organize and negotiaite wages and healthcare and retirement and keep it in the market thru contract.......your side loves the government taking care of what unions and companies used to take care of...more profits for the shareholders.

Many of the lobbies for government assistance are not lobbies funded by the poor who receive them. The real recipients of the programs are the companies who cash in once used....Big Ag is the food corporations...they are the lobby for foodstamps......big medical and insurance companies created Obamacare for themselves not for the poor as they sell it.......and big bnks are behind the anti-multi-employer defined benefit pensions......so they can receive the rewards of the 401K sham.....it isn't about the person getting the assistance or product...it's about who makes out on it when cashed in....and that would be the people you suck up to....the corprote and investor clas.
Want it stopped?
Join the union and serv each other...not the corporations who use and abuse our workers and government.

I agree that healthcare and retirement should be taken care of in the workplace......your anti-union forces would much rather shove that off on government than have to dig into their own profits for it....Do it contractually and the government won't be so necessary.

Business men will not care about flexibility when it comes to their own profits.
Only when absolutely necessary.
And they too love regulation and government when their profits are threatened. Every time they build a Walmart....local businessmen petition the government to stop it...so as not to sink their businesses.

The people know that hard work no longer pays.people like you want it all given to the top and none to the help....and there are enough of them now to destroy this country with riots......so when the day comes when you take it all from them.....everything you worked for will be valueless......because the chance is there that it will fall......and everything you thought was yours will be taken to pay down the debt......and you will work for nothing just like you've always wanted us to do.

If you don't believe anything th catholics say...to me...I'd say that you aren't much of a Christian at all...for that is the Church left to us in the Bible...a unified faith Paul said...not a divided one..with leaders and hierarchy...they picked the Bible....without the Church you never would have had a bible.
The Christians of today follow the Jew who followed the Babylonians in biblical times. No wonder we are lost.

Yep and it's the American people's fault that China is willing to take our work for pennies/hour....ever changing world I gues.....it's our own fault that we don't become communists under your ideology.....but we are getting there aren't we? Communism is ruled by oligarchs.....and oligarchs rule corporartions....just how you like it...all work for nothing for the few at the top to profit.

This is Red in the post accident interview.

Does it take 3 years and all kind of votes for a businessman to get a contract?
Does it take 3 years and all kind of hoops to jump thru to join the Chamber of Commerce or Heritage Foundation or Americans For Prosperity?

The system is just a little biased I guess...just a little.

Thisw election and political situation with trump should show that those who have the power do not want to give it up....those who hold that power on both sides work for the anti-union corporation side. They don't want the American people to have a voice..no matter what lipservice they give.
How's that working out?

You guys have their economics and teachings down to a science...you should be really proud of the state of the nation...you wanted corporations to rule....and now they do...You wanted workers to have no say...and now they don't....great.

He's been on suspension due to hitting another vehicle in the rear. Red always says FedEx doesn't fire people, they fire themselves. He may have fired himself.
They fire ya for one accident?
And you are off without pay till a hearing?
I'm sure they have a boss job available for him....or Joe brock or Jackson Lewis might have a job for him.....hell awaits.

Okay Red, I'll leave you alone
Okay Red, I'll leave you alone now :fingure:
How much
The last one I know of was before the vote in 2014. The accident for Red was a week or so ago. Under the scorecard he'd be gone.

How much money does the Teamsters pay you to be a union organizer? Are you making any progress trying to unionize Southeastern? Maybe you would be more successful as an organizer if you stayed on the SEFL forum. Just saying...

Red would be defended by me if he was at my place...no matter what his beliefs are.
And he probably wouldn't be fired unless he had a long history of serious offenses. New Penn is very lenient and has respect for their senior drivers even without much union defense. There's probably junior guys hoping for his runs and a speedy termination right now.
