ODFL | Wage meeting

I work for one of the "rest" and have been averaging 55-60 hours per week for years. Most here do. And we get OT after 8 daily. OT does not dictate hours. The work load dictates man-hours needed.
Again.not arguing.But,how much you making a hour?Just saying and also you all don't have the amount of driver's we have.

We have almost 70 city drivers at our location. We've cancelled all 4/10 schedules which are more like 4/13's and right now it's all hands on deck. Everyone is getting 50-60 plus hours at OT after 40. God bless Washington state.

This is a look at what it will be like at big terminals. Small locations in areas with large driver pools to hire from may see different results.

And not arguing or upset with your post at all Kenneth, you and Ump got the most respect from me out of the others around this place.
 
I am saying as a whole some have it good some don't some like a big check some don't , I have a great run , mon-fri no weekends personally I would never work the city , some prefer it . to each is own .

Well how nice for you. I also am linehaul but I wouldn't dare tell anyone that's here working 50+ hours a week (and most are) to "get off their ass and get to work". I also find it laughable that you say everyone's entitled to their opinion, then slam them for having said opinion. I guess it only counts if their opinion is the same as yours.
 
Hourly is 21.77. We have about 160 drivers on the city board.
$5 less a hour than we do here.Also,160 driver's?????????Got'a see that.They all on layoff???Around here Yrc is doing there best to cut-out the over 8 with there driver's.Think you need to send some of those 160 driver's to help your brother's out.

Not yrc and nobody on layoff. 160 isnt enough, we can barely keep up.
 
I never said nobody didn't deserve it ,what i said was WE ALL KNEW what it was coming here , THEREFORE it will never change unless the STATE YOU LIVE IN MAKES THEM CHANGE IT so if your that disgruntled by it either go to a company that pays ot or move to a state that has the rule making it mandatory if not then go to L/H if not oh well

You must be a new hire. OD is now a trend setter in the industry and when they see a problem they fix it. It may not be this year, but I do believe they'll do the right thing company wide soon.
 
look what others pay, if OD starts to pay OT after 40/45 nobody will get a raise and the new people in the door will be a lot less starting pay then they are now . I will bet a weeks pay on that

Your problem is you think this is about money. Tell everyone to just work more hours, get off their ass, work an extra day. Our p&d guys already put in 12 hours a day. Nobody hear is disgruntled, just because we ask for change doesn't mean we don't like our jobs. That low OR they brag about is possible because their employees do care. Just asking for the same courtesy when asked to go above and beyond, that's all.

So FedEx, Saia, XPO... Non of them ever get raises??All of these company's are within a dollar either way of OD. And all pay some kind of OT.
I'll take that bet by the way.
