Last I remember the company paid so much to the medical and so much to the pension. All I every paid was union dues once a month. To me it sound like the company funds all the cost.
At one time, Conway paid ALL of your health and ALL to the pension we once had.
My point was, that, Teamster pension is partially funded by members. The one we had was completely funded by the company.
Would you have paid 2.5 hours a month out of your check to keep our our pension? I sure would've.

I guess my thread I started about XPO being union in europe was deleted.im sorry about starting a new thread when there is one right here about unions.Ladies and gentleman when I blog something on truckingboards chances are good that I have experienced both sides of this union issue. There is a BIG chance that I had worked at a former XPO company before they were bought out
I have one question what happened to the drivers out in Trenton? The word on the street is that the termination stood. That what I heard.
If this is true the isn't this what all you are fighting for clear cut work rules and if so then they broke the rules and now you want to protest. Can't have it both ways
The case for those drivers is still open and pending, feel free to look it up.

And so did a lot of other companies at one time. Never had the pension here and would not want it. In a pension I have no control over the money set aside for me. I also know that if I had the pension here I would have taken a buy out and invested the money myself then when I retired I know what I got. Were in a pension they can cut your benefit just like some of them are doing.

Still open but I did find this case though. Case Number: 16-CA-196434. Its a dismissal of a case because the one who filed it failed to do what was required. It's easy to file but following through is a different story.

I can see now why a guy like you who works harder than most would not need a union. My guess you haven't worked here long enough yet, give it time .I have seen dozens with your "it's the other guys fault " crash and burn. Good luck with that.

A little advice .. And I mean this to help you out. Focus on your task for the day and let management handle their responsibilities if they can't take care of managing their people shame on them.
We got a bunch of mini manager want a be's at our barn and they just matters worse

It not a matter of not giving a :::shit::: but there has to be accountability on managements part and where that responsibility squarely lays. If they can't fix their stuff we're going nowhere
The problem is some can get away with murder and others can't even sneeze without getting talk to. This is a big reason why this place can't get driver or drivers won't stay. I don't care if you have 20yrs or 2 you all should be held to the same standards. As an example dockworker comes in with jeans on gets written up a 20+yr drive does the same thing and nothing is said or done. You all talk about UPS but I'll give them one thing they hold there driver to the standard. Just ask one what would happen if the showed up to work with white socks on, but yet people here still wearing Conway stuff?

What are you talking about that case is for Lerado Tx. The Trenton case is still open.

And didn't the union blame all of CF problems and closing on Conway?

From what I've read in most articles about this era and the trucking companies. The company had a tactical plan to shutdown. Missing deadlines and refusing to sit down and talking Seem's like a well placed scam.
As for who to blame for door's closing. In my opion it was deregulation. Most of us here have agreed at some point that deregulation was the downfall for most worker's.

I was pointing out that all we hear about filing with the NLRB and that some are not followed through by the on filling it ie: the employee or the union.
Still 29 open cases filed with the NLRB. I guess we will have to wait and see the outcome of those before we see about following through

We pay nothing into our pension fund.

I find this part funny. They mean by. Having one on one talk with employee's, then they bribe(promises) and intimidate. Most reason show of how this work's was FedEx. And the FedEx anti's we're bragging about it in their thread. But i guess it's only illegal if you get busted.

Seaton’s firm describes their services this way: “We partner with non-union employers to develop effective and lawful avoidance strategies for maintaining union-free workplaces and counsel them on how to respond to union organizing campaigns.”

>>>>>>>>Promises and payouts<<<<<<<<<
BEST SOLUTION TO FIGHTING WORKER'S UNITY.
